Up close &personal with ECCC women's basketball

Kim Cox
Cox is a 5-foot-7 freshman guard from Lake. She averages 4.0 points and 1.9 rebounds and has played in 30 of ECCC's 31 games.
Cox has 37 steals to go with 13 assists and eight blocked shots.
Cox played on Lake's 2001 Class 1A state championship team. In fact, she scored the winning basket with five seconds left as a sophomore as the Lady Hornets defeated Myrtle and current SEC Freshman of the Year Armintie Price 58-57 in the finals. Lake finished with a 34-3 record.
Cox made it back to the Big House as a senior as Lake reached the semifinals before falling 70-54 to Myrtle to finish 24-6.
She was chosen all-district three years, all-state once, and was the MVP of the Scott County Tournament.
Ebone'e Leverette
Leverette is a 5-foot-11 sophomore forward from Forest. She averages 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds and has appeared in 30 games. She has made 50.6 percent (43-of-85) of her field goal attempts and 69.6 percent (32-of-46) of her free throws.
In high school, she was chosen all-district and an Army Scholar Athlete.
Britney Burks
Burks is a 5-foot-7 sophomore guard from Scott Central. She averages 3.0 points and 1.1 rebounds. She has played in all 31 games and has 21 steals and 18 assists.
Case is point, in the 52-45 Region 23 championship win over Copiah-Lincoln, Burks hit a pair of baseline jumpers that turned a 9-8 deficit into a 15-10 ECCC lead.
Burks played on Scott Central's 2000 state championship team. The Lady Rebels defeated Durant 57-51 in the finals.
Roxana Rogers
Rogers is a 5-foot-7 freshman guard from Lake. She averages 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds. She has played in 30 games and has 26 steals and 17 assists.
Rogers played on Lake's 2001 Class 1A state championship team. The Lady Hornets defeated Myrtle and current Ole Miss freshman standout Armintie Price 58-57 in the finals. Lake finished with a 34-3 record.
Rogers made it back to the Big House as a senior as Lake reached the semifinals before falling 70-54 to Myrtle to finish 24-6.
