Scott, Latimer

Douglass and Christine Scott of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandye Vanessa, to Joe H. Latimer III, son of Joe and Ira Latimer of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 3, 2004, at 2 p.m. at First Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Miss Scott is the granddaughter of Joe Hayes of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Ethel Hayes, Joe Patterson of Leland and the late Ida Patterson, Robert Williams of Greenville and the late Mavie Lee Williams.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's of business administration and a master's of accountancy from Jackson State University.
While attending JSU, she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Miss Scott is a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP.
Mr. Latimer is the grandson of the late John and Canary Tolliver of Chicago. and Effie Latimer of Philadelphia and the late Henry Latimer.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and attended East Mississippi Community College. He received a degree in business management from Southern University at Baton Rouge.
Mr. Latimer is employed by Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home.
A reception will be held at Union Station following the ceremony.
