Major boxing event tonight in Laurel

LAUREL It promises to be one of the premier boxing events ever staged in this part of Mississippi.
The card will consist of nine boxing matches, the two main, 12-round events featuring Meridian's Clint McNeil, the current Mid-South Middleweight champion, meeting Laurel's Bo Skipper, and Craven, the current Mid-South Heavyweight champion, taking Elvin Evans for the North American Boxing Council heavyweight crown.
Craven brings a 22-0 record into the fight, while Evans is 18-11.
Other area fighters on the card include Laurel's Gabe Bozeman, and Hattiesburg's Dana Kendrick, a female.
Bozeman will take on Michael Winslow in one of the night's bouts, and other fights will pit Rodney Philips against George Burrague; Greg Davis taking on David Brown; and Mike Carlisle meeting Troy Price.
Attorney Chris McDaniel, along with Craven, Chris Drennon and David McNeil, are spearheading the night of fights with their company, MC2 Promotions.
