Weather postpones title bout

High School soccer teams will have to wait a week to play for a sweetheart of a trophy.
The Mississippi High School Activities Association postponed today's state soccer championship games for all classifications due to recent rain storms in the area.
The title games have been rescheduled for Feb. 14, with no change in game times or location.
The West Lauderdale boys' soccer team will begin the title game action at 11 a.m. on Feb. 14 at Pearl in the 1A-2A-3A state championship game against Madison St. Joe.
Pearl will meet St. Stanislaus for the 4A title at 1 p.m., and Pascagoula will take on Tupelo in the 5A championship game at 3 p.m.
The West Lauderdale girls' soccer team will meet Our Lady Academy for the 1A-2A-3A state title at 3 p.m. at Clinton.
Gulfport takes on Tupelo for the girls' 5A championship at 11 a.m., and Gautier will meet Ridgeland at 1 p.m. in the 4A title match.
