    Retired
    Services for Ruth Creekmore Smith will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in DeKalb.
    Mrs. Smith, 88, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Aldersgate Retirement Center. She was a retired employee of the Lauderdale County Courthouse. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include a son, Dennis Smith and his wife, Charie, of Vicksburg; her grandchildren, Spenser Smith of Indianapolis, Dean Smith of Fort Bragg, N.C., Johnny Smith of Collinsville, Gwendolyn Hawkins of Mobile, Ala., Columbus L. Smith of Collinsville, Ill., and William Leslie Smith of Columbus; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Pearl Smith of Columbus.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie E. Smith; and a son, Columbus E. Smith.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Henry Willis will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. George Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Neshoba County. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Willis, 67, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Choctaw Health Center in Choctaw.
    Survivors include five sisters, Anita McMillan, Sally Farmer, and Gladys Hernandez, all of Philadelphia, Mary Alice Agnew of Columbus, Ohio, and Sarah Williams of Lawton, Okla.; four brothers, Ray Farmer, John Farmer, Ervin Farmer and Rayburn Farmer, all of Philadelphia; two uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Clennie Farmer.
    Bookkeeper
    NEWTON Services for Lee Montgomery Brown will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Cain officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
    Ms. Brown, 59, of Dallas, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at All Saint Hospital in Dallas. She was born in Newton and was a Methodist.
    Survivors include her mother, Ruby Lee Brown of Meridian; two sisters, Ann Weatherford of Kansas City, Mo., and Carolyn Holloway of Brandon; three brothers, Joseph Brown of Meridian, Warren Brown of Lauderdale and Jimmy Brown of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Douglas Brown.
    Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
    MACON Services for Eura Mae Card will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Cooksville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cooksville Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Card, 98, of Crystal Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in her home.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Retired
    YORK, Ala. Services for Adrian Hitt will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Boligee Presbyterian Church. Buriel will be in Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Hitt, 82, of Boligee, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He was a World War II veteran and a survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
    Survivors include his wife, Shug Hitt of Boligee; two daughters, Martha Prociuk and her husband, George, of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., and Adrianna Williams and her husband, Charles, of West Greene; a brother, Edwin Hitt and his wife, Margaret, of Laurel, Miss.; three sisters, Elaine Gordon and her husband, Paul, of Birmingham, Alice Chappell and her husband, Charles, of Caledonia, Miss., and Ruth Jernigan and her husband, Wayne, of Demopolis; two grandchildren, Mandi Williams of Birmingham and Amber Williams of West Greene; and several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7p.m. at the funeral home.
    Construction worker
    UNION Services for David Anthony McElhenney will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Scott Engel and Tony Addy officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
    Mr. McElhenney, 42, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
    Survivors include a daughter, Leslie McElhenney of Decatur; his mother, Margie McElhenney of Decatur; two brothers, Danny McElhenney of Brandon and Randy McElhenney of Decatur; and three nieces and two nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, James McElhenney.
    Pallbearers will be Rusty Barnett, Grady Gregory, Kenny Clark, Randy Jenkins, Jeff Pierce, and Jimmy Pierce.
    Visitation will be today from 4:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    SEBASTOPOL Graveside services for John Robert Mingo will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Bogue Homa Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Mingo, 69, of Heidelberg, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
    Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Mingo of Heidelberg; two daughters, Ruthie Bell of Philadelphia and Melissa Tubby of Heidelberg; a son, Jerry Wayne Mingo of Forest; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Shirley Briscoe, Mary Jane Vaughn, Norma Davis, Betty Sutton, and Trudie Dool, all of Heidelberg and Rosie Somells of Laurel and Annie Jalalzedah of Sandersville; three brothers, Clifton Chapman and Claude Chapman, both of Heidelberg and Gene Ray of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Jemison Solomon; and a sister, Theresa Billie.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 10 a.m. at the family residence, 55 McFarland Road, Heidelberg.
    DEKALB Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for John L. Brookshire, 62, of Bailey, who died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
