QUITMAN Services for Matthew Allen McLeod will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Stonewall Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Gullick and Lynn McRaney officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery.
Mr. McLeod, 19, of Enterprise, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004.
Survivors include his parents, Greg and Stephanie McLeod; a sister, Jade McLeod, all of Enterprise; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Lois Smith; paternal grandparents, Charley and Billie Fagan, both of Stonewall and Edward McLeod of Houston; an uncle, Gary McLeod; an aunt and uncle, Stacy and Rick Guidry; cousins, Leah and Chad Ivey and Anna and Natalie Chancelor, all of Stonewall; and several family members and friends.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Phillips, 76, of Jackson, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 in Jackson.
Survivors include a sister, Johnnie Summerlin of Theodore, Ala. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maude Phillips; a brother, Gerald Phillips; and sisters, Agnes Mitchum and Dee Morgan.
Services for Alice S. Bihn will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Bihn, 69, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was retired from the Meridian Public Library. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Steve Bihn and his wife, Lettie, Tom Bihn and his wife, Tricia and Don Bihn and his wife, Kim; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Daniel Bihn, all of Meridian; a sister, Dotsy Axton of Laurel; a sister-in-law, Betty Skiffington of Fairfax, Vir.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Axton, Bill Axton, Tim Axton, Stanly Lee, Rob Bowen and Hollis Carroll.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and at the night Rosary Service.
DEKALB Services for Mattie B. Moore will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Porterville with the Rev. Carey McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Moore, 93, of Porterville, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 in Porterville.
Survivors include her sons, W.C. Moore and his wife, Verina, of Porterville and R.C. Moore and his wife, Tina, of Louisville; six daughters, Mary A. Brown, Mattie T. Nelson, Ora Edwards, Bettie Blanks and Dorothy Moore, all of Porterville and Sally A. Mitchell of Meridian; a sister, Katie Hampton of St. Louis; brothers, Ernest Gordon and Johnny Jones, both of Meridian; 33 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services for Williams H. Wade will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Johnson and Donald Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wade, 55, of Meridian, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothiea Wade of Meridian; seven sons, Sederrian Lewis, Clyde Lewis, Darron Wade, William Henry Wade, Dexter Wade, Derrick Wade and James Carlisle, all of Meridian; three daughters, Twanna Boler, Teese Boyd and Tameka Wade, all of Meridian; a sister, Eunice Billups of Los Angeles; three brothers, Robert Wade of Jackson, Charlie Hearn of Los Angeles and Clifton Wade of Meridian; and 25 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Leroy Johnson, of Meridian, who died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
