Bell, Burt

Jacqueline Brooks Burt and Casey Bell were married on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at 6 p.m. at Carthage United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Woodrow Burt, uncle of the bride, officiating. The Rev. Sale Lilly was the scripture reader.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Wanda Cooper of Carthage, Frank and Sharon Burt of Meridian and Stacy and Sheila Bell of Carthage.
Nuptial music was provided by Linda Hatch, pianist; Dusty Culpepper, violinist; Lauren Goodman and Mellody Moore, vocalists.
The bride was escorted by her step-father and given in marriage by her father. She wore a white matte satin designer gown that featured a strapless bodice and empire waist with hand sewn bugle beads and seed pearls. The skirt featured and A-line with inverted pleat adorned with bugle beads and seed pearls that swept into a chapel-length train with the same bead work pattern.
Kimberly White served as matron of honor and Somer Gilmer served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Brett Berry of Pinola; Monica Burnside, Marisa Henry and Jenna Smith, all of Carthage; and Mandy McAllister and Erica Stokes of Meridian. Honorary bridesmaids were Kameron Dale of Hattiesburg, Allison Cockrell of Raleigh and Courtney Sparks of Forest.
Cara Bell of Carthage, niece of the bridegroom, and Taylor Farr of Meridian, niece of the bride, served as flower girls. Program and register attendants were Brittany Pilgrim, Chasity Odom and Heather Gilmer.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Burt, Carey Bell, Corey Bell, Boe Bell, Bryan Burnside, Joseph Grice and Chris Osborn, all of Carthage. Honorary groomsmen were Lance Farr, Derek Farr and B.J. Cummings, all of Meridian and step-brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Logan Bell, nephew of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at Leake Country Club following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Barbara Phillips, Karen Clark, Regiena Berry, Wondra Dale, Brittany Gunn, Lisa Chamblee, Kim Coghlan, Natasha Phillips, Amy Rawson, Ashleigh Withers and Lauren Wooten.
A rehearsal dinner was held on the eve of the wedding at Singleton United Methodist Church.
After a honeymoon to the Smokey Mountains, the couple resides in Meridian.
