    Graveside services for Dessie Chisolm will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hope Cemetery near Philadelphia with the Revs. James Ruffin and Bill Webb officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Chisolm, 94, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was retired nurse from Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a long time member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian with a sweet spirit and an always trying to help personality and will be remembered as a loving and kind mother and grandmother.
    Survivors include her daughters, Lotelle Chisolm and Ann Abate and her husband, Sam, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Tracy Sullivan Jr., Stacie Scarbrough, Patrick A. Sullivan Sr., Katherine Warren, Margie Smith, all of Meridian, and Michel Abate of Florida; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marzine Smith of Philadelphia.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Chisolm, a daughter, Lewease Chisolm, and her parents, Grover C. "Cagie" and Rosie Lee Coughran.
    Pallbearers will be Tracy Sullivan Jr., Patrick Sullivan Sr., Michael Abate, Justin Scarbrough, Cody Fuller and Billy Scarbrough. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Abate, Charles E. Smith, Ricky Smith and Danny Smith.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Services for Jeff Davis will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Unity Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin T. Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Davis, 89, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Mable Griffin Davis of DeKalb; daughters, Curlee Jones of Chicago, Morean Rush of Philadelphia, Helen Davis, Mae R. Davis and Viola Drake, all of DeKalb; sons, Henry L. Davis, Joe Davis, Hubert Davis, Marzelle Davis and Jimmy Davis, all of DeKalb, and Jeff Davis Jr., and Leon Davis, both of Philadelphia.
    Visitation will be today from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home in Philadelphia.

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Guy C. Martin will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with the Revs. James Winfred and Bernard Nickerson officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Martin, 90, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Frances Martin of Philadelphia; a daughter, Sharon Kurtsberg of Atlanta; step-daughters, Carolyn Drone of Garland, Texas, Sherry Taylor of Corinth, Texas, Sylvia Shumack of Henderson, Texas and Donna French of Herculaneum, Mo.; step-sons, James Alvin Younger of Weaver, Texas, Mark Younger of St. Louis and Ronny Younger of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Hays Martin of Carthage and a sister, Shirley Winstead of Laurel Hill.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Services for Bennie E. Whitlock Sr. will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nehemiah Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Okatibee Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Whitlock, 67, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Ada Mae Whitlock; daughters, Mary Ann Whitlock Walker and her husband, James, Delores "Lois" Whitlock Pippin, and Lydia "Linda" Whitlock, all of Meridian; a son, Bennie E. Whitlock Jr. of Fountain Inn, S.C.; sisters, Doris Moore and Henrietta Camper, both of Seattle; brothers, Robert Whitlock of Seattle and Jimmy Whitlock of Meridian and five grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Master Sargent U.S. Army
    Services with full military honors will be held for Kate Jones on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Horem Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Walk officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Daleville. Clark's Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Jones, 50, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Picatinny Arsenal Army Base in Picatinny Arnold, N.J.
    Survivors include her son, Steven Jones of Meridian and several cousins, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, May Sue Blakley and her father, Bud Tucker.
    Visitation will be Friday from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Willie L. Cooper will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tony Burks and Willie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
    Mr. Cooper, 48, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his mother, Mary Robinson Cooper; sisters, Georgia Boyd and Marion Boler, all of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Cooper.
    Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
