    Retired from Rayner Drugs
    Services for L. Ray Peden will be held today at 11 am. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Bonita Community with the Revs. Roy Dabbs and Davey Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Peden, 80, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a native of DeKalb and has lived in Meridian for 48 years. His talents were many, one of which was the making and refinishing of gunstocks. He was a positive influence on many people by his kind and sweet attitude. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
    Mr. Peden was retired after 46 years of faithful service from Rayner Drugs. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and served in the Artillery at the Battle of the Bulge.
    Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Anita Blackwell Peden of Meridian; a son, Chris Peden and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, C. Ray Peden Jr. and Mary Helen Peden; a brother, John Peden of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Elva Nicholson of DeKalb; several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, James and Bernard "Pete" Peden; sisters, Helen Wilson and Polly Hodge; and parents, James and Ella Peden.
    Pallbearers will be his nephews.
    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Graveside services for Eithel Mildred McBride Chapman will be held today at 2 p.m. at Gilbertown Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Rose officiating. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Chapman, 89, of Gilbertown, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, in Orange Park, Fla.
    Survivors include her daughters, Mildred L. Rutherford of Orlando, Fla., and Regina M. Atkinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Winnie M. Gilbert of Gilbertown; and five grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, C.E. McBride.
    Visitation will be today 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
    CORINTH Graveside services for Renee Naron Hardin will be held today at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery in State Springs with the Rev. Jimmy Vance officiating. Magnolia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Hardin, 90, of Booneville, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was a loving and caring pastors wife who aided her husband in ministry at various places throughout Mississippi and Alabama for more than 40 years.
    Survivors include her sons, Tom Hardin and his wife, Teresa, of Hixson, Tenn., and Jim Hardin and his wife, Marti, of Saltillo; daughters, Carole Scutt and her husband, Bob, of Meridian, Glenda Hebert and her husband, Bill, of Tupelo and Sally Montgomery and her husband, Bob, of Corinth; sisters, Mary Thornton of Greenwood and Mildred Davis of Madison; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, the Rev. Hinton Vance Hardin Sr.

    Services for Lois Rae Hedgpeth Grace will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Church in the Martin Community with the Revs. Tommy Espey, Bill Webb and Bob Followell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Grace, 71, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in her home. She was a member of Pine Grove Church. She was a retired nurse who worked for Rush Foundation Hospital, Dr. Donald Cook and Benchmark Healthcare.
    Survivors include her daughters, Rosemary Cross and her husband, Alan, of Martin, Merrie Kilpatrick of Meridian and Missie Windham of Collinsville; grandchildren, Nathan Cross, Amanda Kilpatrick, Darby Kilpatrick, John and Kenny Windham; a special caregiver, Mavareen Gammill; her favorite uncle, Richard Long; and two nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a son, John Allen Grace; husband, Robert Grace; parents, Henry and Rose Hedgpeth; and a sister, Clara Merle Murray.
    Pallbearers will be John Wayne Hedgepeth, Tony Herrington, Kyle Pace, Wade Wood, Emmett Murray and Wayne Culpepper.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
    BLYTHEVILLE, Ariz. Services for James "Dub" Boren will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Max Briley and Joe Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
    Mr. Boren, 77, of Blytheville, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from civil service as the deputy chief of supply with more than 31 years of service.
    Survivors include his wife, Virginia King Boren of Blytheville; daughters, Karen Koonce of Blytheville and Sharron Shelton of Meridian, Miss.; a son, James "Butch" Boren Jr. of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brothers, David Boren of Greenwood, Miss., and Gerald Boren of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, David Earl and Lillie Prince Mills Boren.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
