    UNION Services for Thomas Earl Archie will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Warren Hedgepeth and Pete Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Conehatta Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Archie, 55, of Union, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Hospice Ministry in Ridgeland.
    Survivors include his sister, Avis Munn of Union; brothers, Jerry Archie of Decatur and Cecil Archie of Union; two nieces and two great-nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Verna and Josephine Archie.
    Visitation will be today from 8 a.m.- until service time at the funeral home.
    Retired farmer
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Robert "Bobby" Marshall will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Philadelphia.
    Mr. Marshall, 92, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Esther Marshall and a sister, Mary Molpus of Philadelphia.

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Deborah Cheatham Jarriel will be held today at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. John Branning, Coy Miller, Lawrence Pool and Johnny Peden Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery in Preston.
    Ms. Jarriel, 42, of Preston, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in her home. She was born and raised in the Coy Community of Neshoba County. She was a member of Coy United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include her daughters, Tiffany Price and her husband, Michael, Crystal Jarriel and Courtney Jade Jarriel, all of Preston and Tara Long and her husband, Justin, of Philadelphia; a granddaughter, Chloe Price of Preston; her father and step-mother, Travis and Jean Cheatham of Preston; a sister, Cheryl Cheatham Breckenridge of Preston; brothers, Gary Cheatham of Louisville and Lamar Cheatham of Chunky.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Cheatham.
    Pallbearers will be Richard Price, Brian Cooley, Jim Copeland, Dan Nance, Bill Coghlan, and Stan Bates.
    Homemaker
    Services for Saramel Repsher Crooks will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Meridian with the Revs. Raymon Leake and Buddy Petty officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Crooks, 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, in her home. She attended Gulf Park College and was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, Women's Church Circle and the 20th Century Garden Club.
    Survivors include two daughters, Saramel Crooks Evans of Jackson and Sally Crooks Holst of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Saramel Repsher Evans and Hannah Knighton Holst; a grandson, Austin Evans III; and a special friend, Annice Williams.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Battle Crooks Jr.
    The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the First Baptist Church.
    Pallbearers will be Tom Singley, Bill Elliott, Michael Harper, Greg Williams, Paul Parker, Dr. Dan Singley III, Freddie Poitevent and Hank Singley.
    Honorary pallbearers will be William "Bill" F. Kahlmus Jr., Thomas "Tommy" Hampton, Ernest E. Morrison, Walter Eppes, Joe Covington, Sonny Montgomery, and John Sumpter Thompson.
    Visitation will be today from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. at her home.
    Services for Susie Anna McGowan will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. McGowan, 54, of Union County, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, in Union County.
    Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lee Carter of Walnut Grove; sisters, Lorene Larkin, Ruby Gibson, Peggy Gibson and Mary Gibson, all of Union, Unince Lanter of Newton and Angelene Commodore of New York; brothers, Hubert Gibson, Bobby Gibson and J.W. Gibson, all of Union and Henrey Earl Gibson of Pensacola, Fla.
    Visitation will be today from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    U.S. Navy, retired
    Graveside services for Bobby Earl Mize will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Mize, 67, of Clermont, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. He was retired from the U.S. Navy.
    Survivors include his wife, Penelope Mize of Clermont; two sons, Bobby Wesley Mize of McDonough, Ga., and Rex F. Mize of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Stan Bert Mize of Bruce; and a sister, Carol Davidson of Terry.
    He was preceded in death by a wife, Lillie Jane Mize.
    Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
    Retired
    Services for Effie Lucas will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fitkins Memorial Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Lucas, 91, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
    Survivors include a daughter, Rosie L. Gandy; seven grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 57 great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lucas.
