UNION Services for Lorene Smith will be held today at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Young, Lin Chesney and Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton County.
Ms. Smith, 91, of Collinsville, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, in her home. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters, Jewell Rigdon of Little Rock, Fannie Mae Warren and Gladys Scruggs, both of Meridian and Agnes Goux of New Orleans; brothers, Kenneth Rigdon and his wife, Olanell, of Collinsville and Norris Rigdon of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Roe Smith.
Pallbearers will be Al Turnipseed, Tad Rigdon, Richard Ward, Dennis Rigdon, Junior Rigdon and Jason Goforth.
QUITMAN Services for Edelene Allen Smith will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Claude Killian and Grant Duncan officiating. Burial will be in East Quitman Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, 64, of Quitman, died Oct. 5, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Wayne Smith, three sons, Michael Smith and his wife, Joe Ann, Bruce Smith and Tim Smith, one daughter, Janet Andrew and her husband, Tommy, and a brother, Johnny Allen, all of Quitman; three sisters, Laverne Mathis of Stonewall; and Shirley Schrimpshire and Mary Rushton, both of Quitman; seven grandchildren, Britney Andrews, Laci Andrews, Ashley Smith and Alana Smith, all of Quitman; and Kyle Jones, Blake Jones and Christopher Smith, all of Waynesboro; and a great-grandchild, Allison Andrews of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Smith Jones.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lorene F. Sullivan will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Dan Howard and Kim Poe officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan, 83, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia. She was retired from Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Sara Winham of Philadelphia; Judy Ladd of Union; three sons, John Sullivan and his wife, Clara, and Lee Sullivan and his wife, Sue, all of Philadelphia; and Bruce Sullivan and his wife, Dot, of Collinsville; a brother, Carl Temple and his wife, Mary, of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

UNION Services for Hines Vernon Platt will be held today at 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Church of God in Dixon with the Revs. Anthony Cole and Leroy Yates officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Platt, 46, of Union, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at his home. He was a member of Pine Grove Church of God and was an avid deer hunter. He was a very loving father and husband.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Platt, his daughter, Leah Renee Platt, and his son, Boyd Lewis Platt, all of Union; his parents, Waudine and Boyd Williamson; his sister, Wanda Lynn Jones of Alabaster, Ala.; his brother, Russell Williamson of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hines Melton Platt, his grandson, Christopher Lewis Platt, his sister, Christy Nester, and a nephew.

Services for Peggy Nicholson will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Methodist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Robert Horton officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh-Spring Hill Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Nicholson, 58, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at her home.
Survivors include her three brothers, George Lee Parker of Hattiesburg; and Willie Parker and Felix Parker, both of Brookhaven; five sisters, Johnnie M. Parker, Ann Parker, Letha Parker, Marie Parker and Francis Parker, all of Brookhaven; a special uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
