Hand, Humphrey

Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Hand Jr. of Butler, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Leigh, to Seth Adam Humphrey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Humphrey of Dothan, Ala.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Butler.
Miss Hand is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Hand Sr. of Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Neal Oliver of Lisman, Ala., Thelma Moore of Lisman, the late Fred D. Moore of Sylacuaga, Ala., and Christine Oliver and the late Raymond Oliver of Sylacauga.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Patrician Academy and received a bachelor's degree in nutrition and food science from Auburn University.
Mr. Humphrey is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Snyder of Dothan, Ala., and Alberta Humphrey of Madison, Ala., and the late Claude Raymond Humphrey.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northview High School and received a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Auburn University.
Mr. Humphrey is employed by Auburn University as a computing consultant.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
