Services for C. Lamar Young will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Garden.
Mr. Young, 69, of Meridian, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Aljean Young, his son, Ricky Young, and his daughter, Cindy Evans, all of Meridian; four grandchildren, Jamison Evans, Josh Young, Savannah Evans and Matt Young; his sister, Barbara Young of Gulf Shores, Ala.; and his brother, Bernard Young of Fort Worth, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.W. and Mary Young.
The family requests memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Woodie Abraham, David Rosenbaum, Marion "Cougar" Riley, Lavelle Walters, Josh Young, Matt Young, Jamison Evans and Wasley Iler.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Theresa Lynn Shirley will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Shirley, 33, of Cuba, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her father, David Shirley, and her sister, Angela Carol Shirley, both of Cuba; and paternal grandmother, Sarah Shirley of Lisman.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina Wilson Shirley in 1989.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lyda Tolbert Pettey will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Dan Howard and Dr. Eugene Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Pettey, 103, of Philadelphia, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
Survivors include her daughter, Julia Frances Parker of Newellton, La.; three sons, Bill Pettey of Sloansville, N.Y.; Tom Pettey of Oxford; and Joe Pettey of Wake Forest, N.C.; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Callie Bruce Robinson will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Robinson, 77, of Meridian, died April 20, 2003, at his home. He lived in Burwick, La., for 20 years and the past 15 years in Meridian. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Robinson of Meridian; his son, Bruce Eugene Robinson of Dallas; four step-daughters, Lynn Smith of Meridian; Diane LaCalle of Pensacola, Fla.; Tammie Viger of Virginia Beach, Va.; and Kay Costanza of New Orleans; a step-son, Doug Allen of Tupelo; a nephew, Wesley Robinson of Jasper, Texas; nine grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Private family memorial services for Catherine Wilma S. Walker will be held at a later date with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Walker, 83, of Meridian, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her two sons, John C. Walker and Walter Edward Walker, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Lanier Walker.
The family requests memorials be made to the Meridian Navy League Nursing Scholarship or charity of choice.
NORTH MIAMI, Fla. Graveside services for Loui Allison Meredith will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Dade Memorial Park in Miami. Lithgow Bennett Philbrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Meredith, 83, of Okeechobee, died Friday, May 30, 2003. She graduated from Meridian High School in 1938 and was the first female winner of the Alex Loeb trophy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Society.
BILOXI Private graveside services for John W. Hurt Sr. will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hurt, 77, of Ocean Springs, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Ocean Springs. He was a native of Tupelo and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his mother, Georgia DuGard Hurt of Meridian; his children, John Hurt Jr. and his wife, Charlotte, Edward C. Hurt and his wife, Anna, all of Ocean Springs; Joy Hurt Johnson and her husband, Mike, of Bradenton, Fla.; and Stanley B. Hurt and his wife, Marlanne, of Ocean Springs; his sister, Francine Hurt Kent of Meridian; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Mixon Hurt, his father, Allen C. Hurt, his sister, Louise Hurt Brown, and his brother, James Hurt.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Thomas M. Whitfield, 49, of Meridian, who died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at his home.
