Milan, Dowdle

Courtney Patricia Dowdle and Stuart David Milan, both of Ridgeland, were married in a garden ceremony at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Bill Scaggs of Meridian, with Circuit Judge Robert Bailey officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Andy Dowdle of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Sol Milan of West Bloomfield, Mich.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. D.P. Self Sr. of Meridian and the late Mr. Self, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dowdle.
The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Milinsky, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Skore.
Nuptial music was provided by Carey Smith, Rod Widener, Will Roland and Scott Kratzer.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Jennifer DuPont of Meridian served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Byers of Jackson, Candice Hagwood of West Monroe, La., and Dr. Karen Holloway of Brandon. Flower girl was Megan DuPont of Meridian and the ring bearer was Evan Milan of Birmingham, Mich.
Dr. Mitchell Milan of Birmingham, Mich., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Andy Coffin and Tom Kepner, both of Madison, and Gary Milan of Ridgeland, brother of the bridegroom.
Program attendant was Jordan Milan of Birmingham. Proxy for the bride was Alison Knight Gray of Madison.
Following the ceremony, a brunch was held at the Scaggs' home. Serving at the register was Browning Rochefort.
On the eve of the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Self hosted a rehearsal dinner in their home.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Ridgeland.
