Howe, Downs

Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Howe Sr. of Grenada announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Michelle, to Christopher Daniel Downs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Daniel Downs Jr. of Carrollton.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada.
Miss Howe is the granddaughter of Laverne Scoggins of Pope and the late Adelle Scoggins, and Mildred Howe of Oakland and the late E.B. Howe Jr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Grenada High School and Delta State University in Cleveland.
She is employed by the Grenada School District as a kindergarten teacher.
Mr. Downs is the grandson of Irene Caldwell of Meridian and the late Reginald Caldwell, and Wallace Daniel Downs Sr. of Carrollton and the late Elizabeth Downs.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Carroll Academy and attended Holmes Community College and the University of Mississippi.
He is is a full-time recruiter with the Mississippi Army National Guard.
A reception will be held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Holden following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
