Woman charged with robbery

A Meridian woman remained in the Lauderdale County jail on a $10,000 bond Saturday night after being charged with armed robbery.
Police charged Michelle Y. Myers, 28, 1502 11th Ave., at about 6 p.m. Friday after arresting her at the Economy Inn, 900 N. Frontage Road.
A court date for Myers was set for July 28.
No further information was available Saturday. Officials at the police station referred all questions to Meridian Police Chief Benny DuBose, who couldn't be reached for comment.
