Simmons, Holloman

Naval Air Station Meridian Chapel was the setting for the wedding of Stacy D'Ann Holloman and 1st. Lt. Andrew James Simmons on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002. The Rev. Larry Joyner of Collinsville officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Beverly Holloman of Meridian, Danny and Thelma Holloman of Quitman,Doris and Elvin Cox of Ramseur, N.C. and the late Michael Simmons of Staley, N.C.
Grandparents of the bride are LaVerne Holloman of Quitman and the late Jim Holloman, Idella Grayson of Quitman and the late Luther Boles of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Gretchen Simmons of Staley, N.C., and the late Ira Simmons, Grace Lindley of Silk Hope, N.C., and the late James Lindley.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Diane Holloman.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of re-embroidered lace and satin with a sweetheart neckline. The princess-line bodice was adorned with beaded re-embroidered lace, enhanced by a Basque waistline and featured long sleeves. The back of the bodice featured buttons to the waistline. The semi-circular satin skirt was accented with beaded re-embroidered lace with a cathedral-length train. She wore a veil of silk illusion and carried a bouquet of red roses.
The bride's attendants were Natalie Dobbins of Quitman, Brooke McMahan and Pamela Heckman, both of Meridian.
Groomsmen were 1st. Lt. Steven Pearson of NAS Meridian, Lt. j.g. George Ortiz of NAS Lemoore, Calif., and 1st. Lt. Mitchell Rubenstein of MCAS Cherry Point, N.C.
A reception was held at Rudders at NAS Meridian following the ceremony.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. with a bachelor's degree in aviation technology and AS aviation maintenance technology.
The couple are currently stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, Wash., where the bridegroom is in training to fly the EA-6B Prowler. Their final duty station will be Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., where the bride will complete her degree at the University of North Carolina.
