West Lauderdale hands Philly first loss of season

PHILADELPHIA West Lauderdale broke up a shutout with three runs in the top of the fourth inning and added five more in the sixth to defeat previously-unbeaten Philadelphia Monday afternoon.
Bo Davis' two-run double staked the Knights to a 3-0 lead in the Division 5-3A contest.
Fontan (3-1) struck out 13 and walked two. He allowed eight hits as the Tornadoes outhit the Knights 8-7. Fontan's only loss came in a relief role at Louisville.
Philadelphia had six errors to three for West Lauderdale.
The Knights (5-2) got a two-run homer in the sixth inning from Randy Diveley and a solo homer from Dave Woods in the top of the seventh.
Tyler Rounsaville went 3-for-4 with two singles and a double to lead Philadelphia. Jonathan Booker had a single and an RBI double. Jonathan
Holland went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
Booker took the loss.
West, which lost to Thomasville, Ala., last Saturday, takes on Clinton at 12:30 p.m. today and Northwest Rankin at 3:30 p.m. in a tournament at Hattiesburg.
Philadelphia travels to Decatur today to take part in the East Central Community College Spring Break Tournament. The Tornadoes face Forest at 10 a.m. and Ackerman at 4 p.m.
The Tornadoes are 2-0 against Ackerman already this season.
