PHILADELPHIA Services for Mabel Pearl Posey will be held today at 11 a.m. at Henry's Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Luke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Posey, 97, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Waudine Akins and her husband, Crawley; a son, Hays F. Posey and his wife, Gerry, all of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Posey.
Marie Stafford Anderson

Services for Marie Stafford Anderson will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Springhill Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson, 71, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, in Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of Springhill Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Jesse Joiner, Robert Joiner and Leroy Joiner, all of Meridian, and Lewis Joiner of Birmingham; sisters, Emma Means of Toxey, Ala., Faye Singletary of Fayettville, Tenn., Jean Whitted of Tampa, Fla., and Lavern Thompson of Biloxi; a brother, William Stafford; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harrel Davidson, Melvin Carter, Donald Lewis, Randy Harrison, Leroy Morse, Joel Harrison and Bobby Gibson.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Esther Boler Strickland
Services for Esther Boler Strickland will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry Laird and Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland, 86, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in Meridian. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Wanzie Strickland of Houston, Texas; and a daughter, Esther Ann Tobert of Marietta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Bruce Strickland.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Margie Richardson Johnson will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Hayward Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Johnson, 72, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Eaves of Meridian and Odessa Collins of Noxapater; sons, Gerald W. Richardson of Meridian, Ronald Richardson of Braxton, William Johnson and Jimmy Johnson, both of Philadelphia, and Dale Johnson of Union; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye Baysinger of Union and Edith Lowe of Philadelphia; and a brother, Homer D. Coates of Philadelphia.

Services for Jerry W. Jones will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Boatner officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Little Rock.
Mr. Jones, 62, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, in Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his father, Aaron Webster Jones and his wife; his mother, Mary J. Terry; a sister, Barbara Dorman and her husband, William; nephews, William Chris Dorman, Jason Dorman and Terry Dorman.
Visitation will be today 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. Services for Madge Eris Pylate were held Sunday a Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko with the Rev. Barry Corbett officiating. Burial was in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pylate, 79, of Caruthersville, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Stewart of Meridian, Madge Winstead of Bogart, Ga., and Gayle Gorham of Jackson, Mo.; sons, John W. "Buster" Pylate III and Jerry Pylate, both of Caruthersville; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Pylate Jr.; and a grandson, Stacy Sims.
