NEWTON Services for Marguerite Kemp Taylor will be held today at 10 a.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, 82, of Decatur, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, in Hattiesburg. Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker, was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include three sons, Wilson E. "Skip" Taylor Jr. of Austin, Texas, the Rev. Bruce Taylor and his wife, Susan, of Madison, and Kristopher "Kris" Taylor of Memphis; a daughter, Rita Gayle Reynolds and her husband, Mickey, of Hattiesburg; three grandchildren, Mitchell Reynolds, Ben Taylor and Mandy Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Reynolds and Isaae Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wilson E. Taylor; and a grandson, Jeremy Pierce.

Services for Timothy A. McDaniel will be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. McDaniel, 45, of Collinsville, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny McDaniel of Collinsville; a daughter, Joely McDaniel of Collinsville; mother, Muriel Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; father, Vernon McDaniel of Biloxi; a brother, Steve McDaniel of Shreveport, La.; and a sister, Debbie Yarbrough of Tulsa,Okla.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4825 -A Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian, MS 39305.
Pallbearers will be Jack Combest Jr., Wally Hudnall, Kevin Ennis, T.M. Hand, Tim Lockey and Tommy Allen.

UNION Services for Judy Inez McCrory will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel in Union with the Rev. Tony Addy officiating. Burial will be in Hester Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. McCrory, 48, of Pearl died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Valerie McCrory of Pearl; three sons, Timothy Micheal McCrory of Little Rock, Patrick O'Neal McCrory of Jackson and Tommy Junior McCrory of Pearl; three sisters, Carlene Gray of Pelahatchie, Susie Sheppard of Brandon and Martha Davidson of Lucedale; five brothers, Tommy Dale Ward of Philadelphia, James Ward Jr. of Little Rock, Pete Ward, also of Little Rock, Sonny Ward of Lucedale and Jimmy Ward of Indiana; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion O'Neil McCrory; her parents, James Ward and Lucille Childs, and a sister, Polly Anne Laird.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

UNION Services for William Elvin Simmons will be held today at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev. Ron Gilstrap officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Simmons, 80, of Newton, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II and received several medals and awards for bravery.
Survivors include his wife, Verneida Turner Simmons; two daughters, Ann Munn and her husband, Robert, and Nina Simmons, all of Newton; two grandchildren, Joey Leach of Conehatta and Heather Munn of Brandon; two sisters, Lula Mae Bufkin of Raleigh and Madeline Monk, of Texas; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Johnie Hudson, Jake Crosby, Kenny Poole, W.L. Freeman Jr., C.A. Stamper, Doyle Moore, Barry Graham and Clyde Mann.

Mr. Mayo, 88, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of World War II and was a former prisoner of war.
Survivors include his brother, William Mayo and his wife, Clio of Meridian, nieces and nephews, Aby Weaver and her husband, Gary, William C. Mayo, F.W. Mayo, Christopher Mayo, Barbara Claire Moore, Clare McEachern, Jan Downer, and Jennifer Mayo.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James D. Mayo and Franklin Mayo and a sister, Mary Mayo.

LIVINGSTON, Ala. Graveside services for Edward Dash Adams Sr. will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brewersville Cemetery in Brewersville, Ala., with the Rev. Tim Meadows officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adams, 88, of Livingston, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired postal worker and a retired Army lieutenant colonel.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Margaret Betsy Adams of Livingston; three grandchildren, Rebecca Haney and her husband, Reggie, Edward Dash Adams III, Martha F. Fendley and her husband, Scott; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Libby Haney and Asa and Samuel Fendley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Adams, and two sons, Edward Adams Jr. and Timothy Adams.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at Christian Valley Church in Coatopa.
LILLIE MAE SCOTT

DEKALB Services for Lillie Mae Scott will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Belmount Baptist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Ervin King officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery in DeKalb with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scott, 87, of DeKalb, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include five children, Annie Scott McKay and her husband, Eirtis, Irene Scott Stewart and her husband, Lawrence, and Virginia Scott Hampton and her husband, Alex, all of St. Louis, Rosie S. Wilkins of DeKalb, Nathaniel Scott and his wife, Michelle, of Anderson, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Ervin King of Gary, Ind., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon until service time at the church.
