Pate, Ridinger

Kimberly Dawn Ridinger of Meridian and Richard Shane Pate of Buhl, Ala., were married Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Sugarland Chapel in Gatlinburg, Tenn., with the Rev. David Faulkner officiating.
Parents of the couple are Patsy Ridinger of Meridian, Bobby Ridinger of Center Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Pate of Buhl.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Thrash of Meridian, Ruby Ridinger of Center Hill and the late Bill Ridinger.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mattie Clardy of Columbus and the late John E. Clardy; the late Julius C. Pate of Buhl, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Cargile of Buhl.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the chapel musicians.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Casey Ridinger and her grandfather, A.T. Thrash.
She wore formal A-line gown of white bridal satin with an empire bodice embellished with Austrian crystals and beading. A matching band of crystals and beads adorned the skirt. Satin covered buttons highlighted the back of the gown that swept into a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil of illusion fell from a headpiece of beads and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of baby's breath and roses.
Wendy Pate of Buhl served as maid of honor. Karen Lamoreaux of Meridian served as flower girl.
Best man was Mike Pate of Buhl. Ryan Lamoreaux of Meridian was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Bearskin Lodge in Gatlinburg for immediate family, following the ceremony. A reception for family and friends was held Oct. 20 at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the couple resides in Buhl.
