    JIMMY JOEL THORNTON

    YORK, Ala. Services for Jimmy Joel Thornton will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home in York, Ala., with the Revs. Sam Nettles and Ed Tatum officiating. Burial will be in Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba, Ala.
    Mr. Thornton, 65, of Cuba, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a truck driver for Cuba Timber. He also served in the Air Force.
    Survivors include his wife, Retha B. Thornton of Cuba; five daughters, Rebecca Davis of Centerville, Ohio, Robin Day of Vance, Ala., Susanne Storey of Cuba, Elizabeth Thornton of Mize and Jennifer Thornton of Forest; a son, Stanley Thornton of Lauderdale; and two brothers, Julius Thornton and Stevie Thornton, both of Raleigh; and 14 grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
    JAMES HAILEY SNOWDEN
    Retired saleman
    Services for James Hailey Snowden will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron McGee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mr. Snowden, 86, of Wichita Falls, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, in Wichita Falls. He was a retired salesman for Sears, having worked for the company 30 years. A native of the Martin community, he served with the 11th Armored Division with the Army during World War II.
    Survivors include two sons, James E. Snowden of Wichita Falls and Michael H. Snowden of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, Mona Wilson with U.S. Armed Forces in Germany, Chris Snowden of Lubbock, Texas, Cinda Snowden of Amarillo, Texas, and Michael Snowden Jr. and Amanda Snowden, both of Anchorage, Alaska; three sisters, Retha Deal of Waynesboro, Sarah Harrison of Meridian and Julia Crenshaw of Columbus; and a brother, Virgil Snowden of Collinsville.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Snowden; and a brother, William Gray Snowden.
    Visitation will be from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School Class at Highland Baptist Church.
    ANN KENDRICK WOODS
    ENTERPRISE Services for Ann Kendrick Woods will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at East Cemetery in Enterprise with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Woods, of Fountain Inn, S.C., died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at her home. She was employed with the City of Gray Court.
    Survivors include her husband, Conrad Woods Sr., a daughter, Tonya Woods of Greenville; two sons, Conrad Woods Jr. of Atlanta and Shawn Woods of Gray Court; a brother, Melvin Kendrick of Chattanooga, Tenn., and three sisters, Easter Johnson of Quitman, Doris Parker of Stonewall and Immogene Thompson of Meridian.
    The family requests that memorials be made to Berry and Gardner Funeral Home at 1300 34th Ave.
    GEORGE NELSON
    Retired
    Services for George Nelson will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Lauderdale with the Rev. Obadiah Clemmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Clark's Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Nelson, 78, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Benchmark Health Care Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Mamie T. Nelson of Porterville; children, Les Nelson and his wife, Marlene, of Jacksonville, Fla., Willie James Nelson and his wife, Edna Earl, of Marion, Willie Junior Nelson and his wife, Jeanette, of Marion, Tommy Nelson of Porterville, Mary Hudson and her husband, Al, of Marion, Bobbie Campbell and her husband, Tyrone, of Porterville, Sharon Nelson, Tanika Grace and her husband, Willie, all of DeKalb; sisters, Magerie Clayton, Octavia McDonald, both of Kemper Springs, and Henry A. McNeese of Meridian; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Nelson and Lena Moore.
    Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    FRANKLIN L. FRAZIER
    Retired shoe store owner
    Memorial services for Franklin L. Frazier will be held in early spring in Silver Creek, N.Y., with McClain-Hays Funeral Service of Philadelphia in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Frazier, 88, of Collinsville, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at his home. He was a retired shoe store owner.
    Survivors include three daughters, Andrea Clayton of Collinsville, Margaret Walrod of Jamestown, N.Y., and Grace Brown of Boynton Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Frazier of Flagstaff, Ariz.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Claire, in 2000.
    ELISABETH R. MORGAN
    Retired grocery store owner
    Services for Elisabeth R. Morgan were held Friday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Otis Seal officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Mrs. Morgan, 91, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at King's Daughter's and Sons Nursing Home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her daughters, Merle Irby and her husband, Tommy, of Meridian, Ouida Watkins and her husband, Beaver, of Lauderdale, Jessi Flazell and her husband, James, of Grand Bay, Ala., Jean Riley and her husband, Richard, of Germantown, Tenn.; a sister, Pot Reynolds Hynde of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, Tem Feazell Shields of Mobile, Ala., Kip Watkins of Jackson, Dawn Watkins McCormack of Meridian, Leigh Watkins Burns of Meridian, Morgan Riley Smith of Germantown, Tenn., Jena Feazell Crevasse of St. Myers, Fla., Michael Van Easterwood of Meridian, Elizabeth Easterwood Raines of Mobile, Ala., Charlsa Ray Donohue of Hattiesburg and Lamar Todd Easterwood of Meridian; and 17 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Titus E. Morgan.
    Pallbearers were Todd Easterwood, Mike Easterwood, Kip Watkins, Ned McCormick and David Donohue.

    Funeral arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Herbert "Chet" Brown, 88, of Yantley, Ala., who died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Riley Memorial Hospital.
