Retired
Services for Helen T. Heard will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Heard, 82, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Beverly Health Care Center. She was a retired airline stewardess and a retired school teacher. She was an member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, an avid bridge player and a former model for Macey's of New York.
Survivors include her husband, T. Mel Heard of Meridian; sons, T.M. Heard Jr. and his wife, Camie, Michael T. Heard and his wife, Karyn, all of Meridian; a daughter, Kathleen McNeil and her husband, Tommy, of Madison; four grandchildren, Haley Heard, Meagan McNeil, Trey McNeil and Cole McNeil.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5009 Highway 493, Meridian, MS 39305.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrel Davis, Pat Bergen, Ed Skipper, Bob Hill, Bill Mathis and Charles Young.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Retired U.S. Navy and Boeing employee
Graveside services for Frances J. "Frank" Phelan Jr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lockhart Cemetery with the Revs. John Fielder and Davey Wilkinson officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Phelan, 57, of Dalewood, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Chicago on Oct. 28, 1945. He retired after serving 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was a manager at Boeing Aircraft.
Mr. Phelan was a Master Mason, life member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve and American Legion. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife of more than 38 years, Margaret "Maggie" Phelan of Dalewood; three daughters, Debarah R. Carter and her husband, Ralph, of Ocala, Fla., Cynthia D. Carter and her husband, Paul, of Key West, Fla., and Alicia "Nikki" Miltimore of Dalewood; four grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Candace Carter, Alex Roberts and Luke Miltimore; a sister, Marjorie Troop of Crestwood, Ill.; two brothers, Thomas Phelan of Kankakee, Ill., and Anthony Zanazara of Chicago; and many close friends.
He will be missed and was greatly loved by all his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Carter, Paul Carter, Thomas Phelan, Pat Peairs, Joe Beasley and Robert Ohnemus.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
L.E. BURRAGE
Factory worker
DEKALB Services for L.E. Burrage will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness in DeKalb with the Rev. Curtis Meekins officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery in DeKalb. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burrage, 88, of DeKalb, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in his home. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Burrage of DeKalb; children, Willie J. Burrage, George Burrage of Milwaukee, Wis., Leonard Burrage and Charles McDade of DeKalb, Mary V. Harper and her husband, Hilton, of Gary, Ind., Ola Nord, Deloris Burrage, Kendrick Burrage and Valerie Burrage, all of Milwaukee, and Larita Clay and her husband, Kendrick, of Union; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Retired riveter for aircraft company
YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Montie Fowler Mohr will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Miss. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mohr, 94, of York, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Wansley of Butler, Ala., and Geraldine Thompson of Las Vegas; a sister, Jessie Ruth Futnell of Hopkinsville, Ky.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barry and Gardner Funeral Home for Guster "Gee" Emerson Sudbury, 55, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, in her home.
