May, Bearden

Cheryl May of Collinsville and Gene May of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, JoAnna Michelle, to Christopher Brian Bearden, son of Doug and Nancy Bearden of Collinsville.
The wedding will be held Friday, July 12, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss May is the granddaughter of the late Homer and Louise May of Collinsville and the late Jessie and Lottie Emmons of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received an associate's degree in physical therapy assistant program from Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Physical Therapist Assistant Student Organization, American Physical Therapy Association and the Health Occupations Students of America.
Miss May is employed as a physical therapist assistant at Riley Hospital.
Mr. Bearden is the grandson of Dot Bearden of Meridian and the late W.F. Bearden, A.L. and Cora Clark of Morristown, Tenn., and the late Maudine Hagwood of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received an associate's degree in drafting and design technology from Meridian Community College.
While at MCC, he was a member of the Vocational and Industrial Clubs of America.
Mr. Bearden is employed as a draftsman by Fairbanks Scales.
A reception will be held in the family life center at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
