Renee Foster and Rex Lewis, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at the Church of the Mediator with the Revs. Mike Doborsky and Ann Whitker officiating.
Parents of the couple are Freida and Jerry Hudspeth of Wasilla, Alaska, and Blanche Lewis of Londonderry, N.H.
The bride is the granddaughter of Kate Barnhill of Jackson.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Dr. Chris Jenkins, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of ivory matte satin. The fitted Basque bodice, sweetheart neckline and illusion sleeves were accented with seed pearls and sequins. Her fully gathered skirt cascaded into a royal cathedral-length train with beaded Alencon lace. She wore the veil her mother wore 40 years ago at her wedding.
Matron of honor was Beth Butler of Meridian. Other attendants were Laurie Foster, Candice Mathieu, Katie Mathieu and Emmy Joyner, all of Meridian, and Margie Stoneman of Seattle.
Brittany Lewis of Meridian was flower girl.
Best man was Craig Nelson of Quitman. Groomsmen and ushers were Robert Lewis and Brian Foster of Meridian, Cannon Schramm of Lawndale, Calif., Butch Lewis of Farmington, N.H., and Jimmy Riendeau of Jefferson, N.H.
Ring bearer was Pete Lewis of Meridian.
Registry attendants was Cindy Leone and Lisa Riendeau. Program attendants were Gay LaPierre and Tina Hudspeth.
A reception was held at D.T. Grinder's following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in the Caribbean, the couple resides in Meridian.
