    DEWEY EARL REED
    Services for Dewey Earl Reed will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Capt. Joseph Mure' officiating. Burial will be in Black Water Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Reed, 76, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Salvation Army.
    Survivors include his two sisters, Jean Shirley, Mr. Reed's caregiver, of Meridian; and Lois Reed and her husband, Billie, of the Martin Community; four brothers, Thomas Reed and his wife, Geneva and Robert Reed and his wife, Shirley, all of Meridian; Virgie Reed and his wife, Helen, of Toomsuba; and Clyde Reed and his wife, Pat, of Kewanee; three nieces and several nephews, one great-niece and several great-nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Thomas Reed, and his mother, Nellie Mae Reed, and two brothers, Charlie and Grady Reed.
    Pallbearers will be Aaron Reed, Marvin Ballard Jr., Gerald Richardson and other friends and family.
    PEGGY WILLIAMS
    Services for Peggy "Jewel" Williams will be held today at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cephus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mrs. Williams, 59, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Guardian Angel Inpatient Hospice.
    Survivors include two sisters, Evie Joyce Eaves of Meridian; Carolyn Zager of Ville Platt, La.; a brother, James Holmes, and two daughters, Linda Page and Peggy Joyce Goodwill, all of Meridian; two sons, Kenneth "Johnny" Jones of St. Landry, La.; and Paul Jones of Meridian; a grandson, Ricky Breland of Meridian; three granddaughters, Jessica Goodwill and Kimberly Jones, both of St. Landry, La.; and Holly Jones of Meridian; and two great-grandsons, Austin Breland of Meridian; and Patrick Goodwill of St. Landry, La.
    Pallbearers will be Kevin Frazier, Paul Jones, Kenneth Jones, Bruce Whitehead, Tommy Henderson and Ricky Breland.
    GEORGE VERNON TEMPLE
    Retired carpenter
    Graveside services for George Vernon Temple will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmie Gerrard officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Temple, 87, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Kings Daughters &Sons Rest Home. He went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 13, 2002. He was active at Bethany Baptist Church in Whynot for many years. At the church, Mr. Temple was chairman of deacons, church clerk and men's Bible teacher.
    Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Jackson Temple of Meridian; two daughters, Faye Barrow and her husband, Charles, of Baton Rogue, La.; and Virginia Ware and her husband, Sandy, of Panama City, Fla.; four grandchildren, Todd Ware and his wife, Natalie, of Graceville, Fla.; Deborah Rogers and her husband, Aaron, of Austin, Texas; Amy Patrick of Panama City, Fla.; and Stephen Barrow and his wife, Rachael of Baton Rogue, La.; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Rogers; two brothers, Rayford and Cecil Temple; a sister, Anita Chisolm of Center Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
    The family requests memorials me made to the Bethany Baptist Church Memorial Fund at Route 6, Meridian.
    Pallbearers will be the deacons of Bethany Baptist Church.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    PAUL C. LADD
    Carpenter
    Services for Paul C. Ladd will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brown Barrier and Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Henry's Chapel Cemetery.
    Mr. Ladd, 73, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Gladys Ladd, two daughters, Linda Houston and Betty Barrier, and a son, Randy Ladd, all of Philadelphia; a sister, Louise Herring of Meridian; three brothers, Carvell Ladd, Wilson "Bud" Ladd and J.C. Ladd, all of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    RUBY FAYE WILLIAMSON
    UNION Services for Ruby Faye Williamson will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Little Rock with the Rev. Rickey Blythe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Williamson, 77, of Meridian, formerly of Little Rock, died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at East Mississippi Nursing Home.
    Survivors include her brother, S.A. Williamson Jr. and his wife, Dorothy Jean, of Flora; a sister, Patricia Williamson Beasley and her husband, Joe, of Meridian; six nephews, Paul and Keith Gunter, Raybon and Joey Beasley and Danny and Craig Williamson; and three nieces, Caroline Beasley, Kim Potter and Sharon Smith.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Selma A. Williamson Sr., and her mother, Jewell Drew Williamson and her sister, Jean Williamson Gunter.
    Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
    ENDIE LEE GRIFFIN

    DEKALB Services for Endie Lee Griffin will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Preston Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Elder Kelvin Woods officiating. Burial will be in Chamberlin Cemetery in Preston with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Griffin, 88, of Preston, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Hometown Hospice of Meridian.
    Survivors include nine children, Mattie Billips, J.C. Griffin and Ernestine Griffin, all of Denver, Co.; Len Griffin and his wife, Sue, and Edna Griffin, all of Omaha, Neb.; Roy Griffin and Yvette McKenzie, both of Anderson, Ind.; Albert Griffin and his wife, Jean, and Catherine Morries and her husband, Cecil, all of Preston; a daughter-in-law, Helen Brown of Preston; a son-in-law, Edward Mosley of Omaha; 46 grandchildren, four sisters, Wavlean Ross, Tommy Doss and Mozelle Triplet, all of Louisville; and Luvy Supples of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Albert Woods and his wife, Linnie, of Preston; and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband and two children.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
