Smith, Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Smith of Cuba, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Joy, to Richard Alan Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Smith of Decatur.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 1, 2002, at 3 p.m. at Cuba Baptist Church.
Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Smith of Meridian and the late Winogene Smith, W.B. Tims of Cuba and the late Annie Maude Tims.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Sumter Academy and received at bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of West Alabama.
While attending UWA, she was a member of the Dean's List, National Dean's List, President's List, International Reading Association and Kappa Delta Pi.
Miss Smith is employed by Lamar Elementary School.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of the late Edwin and Evie Smith of Decatur, and the late Lee and Maude Terrell of Union.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Decatur High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Smith is employed by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians as an information management specialist for the Department of Family and Community Services.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
