Blackmon, Limerick

Sheila Dawn Blackmon, daughter of Eugene Blackmon of Yantley, Ala., and Evelyn Blackmon of Birmingham, Ala., and Roger Robbins Limerick, son of Oliver and Charline Limerick of Wahalak are engaged to be married.
The ceremony will be held Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston.
Miss Blackmon is the granddaughter of the late James Vidma Champion of Anniston, Ala., the late Margaret Edna Hendley Champion of Yantley, Ala., the late Walter Blackmon of Butler and the late Mary Lee Pierce Hendley of Yantley.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Jefferson Davis Academy and received a bachelor's degree in English from Livingston University (The University of West Alabama).
While attending LU, she was a member of the LU Student Review and Alpha Psi Omega, editor of the Livingston Life and an active participant in LU Theatre productions. Miss Blackmon received her master's degree in English from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She is employed by the University of West Alabama, where she is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Mr. Limerick is the grandson of the late Marion Luther Robbins and the late Ottis Oswalt Robbins, both of the Bunker Hill Community in Marion County; the late Roger Mills Limerick and the late Mittie Pearl Lang Limerick, both of the Wahalak Community.
The bridegroom-elect graduated from Kemper Academy and East Mississippi Community College in Scooba. He received his bachelor's degree in biology at the University of West Alabama. He is currently enrolled in the graduate school at UWA, where he is working on his master's in biology and where he is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and the Tri Beta National Biological Honor Society.
Mr. Limerick is employed by UWA, where he serves as the manager for Lake LU.
A reception will be held at Spence Moon House on the UWA campus following the ceremony.
