Mr. and Mrs. Parham Williams of Monticello announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kelly, to Kurt Black, son of Mrs. Christopher Black of Ithaca, N.Y., and the late Mr. Black.
The wedding will be held Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 5 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis, Md.
Miss Williams is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brantley Cumberland of Preston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Winston Williams of Belzoni.
She is a graduate of Lawrence County High School and Delta State University where she received a bachelor's degree in commercial aviation. She has been a Boeing 737 pilot for USAirways in Baltimore, Md., for the past three years.
Mr. Black is the grandson of Mrs. Anton Scholl of Ithaca, N.Y. and the late Mr. Scholl. He is a graduate of Ithaca High School and Virginia Tech where he received a master's degree in industrial and systems engineering. He is currently self-employed at the company he founded, FrontEdge Solutions.
After their wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Annapolis, Md.
