    LILLIE MAUDE RUTLEDGE SNOWDEN

    Services for Lillie Maude Rutledge Snowden will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Meridian with the Revs. Dr. Raymon Leake and David McCubbin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Snowden, 94, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Meridian for 71 years, a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the church's choir and WMU.
    Mrs. Snowden was a member and officer of Colonial Order of The Crown, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the National Society of Colonial Dames of XVII Century, the most noble order of the garter, Americans of Royal Descent, the Auxiliary of American Legion, and the Auxiliary of the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
    Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leland B. Snowden Sr. of Meridian; a daughter, Sandra S. Kellogg, of Orlando, Fla.; a son, Leland B. Snowden Jr. and his wife, Patti, of Benton, Ark.; three grandchildren, Thomas W. Goldman III, of Menton, France, Capt. Michael W. Goldman, of San Angelo, Texas, and Lee Burke Snowden, of Bryant, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay Rutledge and Mattie Elizabeth Hill.
    Pallbearers will be Harry Causey, Jack Jackson, Tommy Brewer, Freddie Poitevent, Charles Roberts and Greg Snowden.
    Visitation will be today from 10: 30 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church.
    DORISENE REED
    Department manager
    DEKALB Services for Dorisene "Davis" Reed will be held today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Preston with the Rev. Darryl Rush officiating. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Ms. Reed, 68, of Preston, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, in her home.
    Survivors include three children, Alfred Carter and his wife, Faith, and Phillis Carter of Los Angeles, Kathy Davis of Chicago; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Earline Moore of Chicago, LoVell Brown and her husband, Carroll A., of Preston, Ruby Reed of Los Angles and Margie A. Merdith of Philadelphia; brothers, Odell Reed and his wife, Dorothy, and LeVell Reed and his wife, Cherly, both of Preston; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings.
    Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.

    NEWTON Services for Perry M. Taylor will be held today at 2 p.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church with the Revs. Riley Burton, Bruce Taylor and Billy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Taylor, 75, of Ridgeland, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at St. Dominic's in Jackson. He was a member of Decatur United Methodist Church, the Evergreen Lodge, where he served as grandmaster for five years, and Lodge No. 77.
    Mr. Taylor served in World War II as a medic, was a founder of Newton County Academy and was active in building the school. He owned and operated Taylor Grocery in Decatur for 22 years, then worked for Lazy-Boy until he retired.
    He was a wonderful husband and father, very devoted to his wife and daughter and he loved life, friends and the outdoors. After retiring, he traveled extensively with his wife, "Dot." The two were married for 56 years.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Taylor, and a daughter, Jeana Taylor, both of Ridgeland; a brother, Wilson Taylor of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
    The family requests memorials be made to Parkway Hills United Methodist Church in Madison, at P.O. Box 1727, Madison, MS 39130.
    Pallbearers will be Kris Taylor, Jimmy Round, Johnny Munn, Melvin Tingle, Buddy Massey and Mark Massey. Members of the Evergreen Lodge will serve as honorary pallbearers.
    JACKIE TEW
    Retired automotive technician
    PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Jackie Tew will be held today at 3 p.m. at Old Mars Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Ferris officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Service, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Tew, 66, of Louisville, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at his home in Louisville. He served in the United States Air Force.
    Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Tew, and his daughter, Belvia Hemphill, both of Louisville; two sons, Buddy and Rupert Tew of Gonzales, La.; two sisters, Lavaye Steed and Ruthie Alford, both of Jackson; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Tew.
    KEITH RAY JORDAN
    UNION Services for Keith Ray Jordan will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Paul Jordan, Jeff Hitt and Mickey Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Evans Tabernacle Cemetery.
    Mr. Jordan, 47, of Brandon, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, in Brandon. He was a member of Union Church of Christ.
    Survivors include his wife, Dixie Jordan and a son, Malcolm Kent Jordan, both of Brandon; sisters, Effie Mae Mitchum of Cummins, Ga., and Ruby Nell Tune of Durango, Colo.; brothers, Paul Jordan of Walnut Grove, Tony Jordan of Niceville, Fla., John Jordan of Brandon, Fla., Eddie Jordan of Red Oak, Texas, and Wayne Jordan of Conehatta; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Shaw; brothers, O'Neal Jordan and Malcolm Jordan.
    Pallbearers will be John Jordan, Eddie Jordan, Wayne Jordan, Allen Jordan, Tony Jordan and Bobby Hitt.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
