A Lauderdale County man was charged with armed robbery on Monday of the Palmer's Food Store on Highway 39 North.
Richard D. Naylor, 21, of 9573 Northeast Cole Road, Lauderdale, was being held this morning at the Lauderdale County jail on a $25,000 bond.
Naylor had been charged last week with the armed robbery of Taylor Pak-A-Sak Grocery on Briarwood Road. After further investigation, Lauderdale County sheriff's deputies charged Naylor with the armed robbery of Palmer's Food Store.
Both stores are in north Lauderdale County. Maj. Ward Calhoun, a spokesman for the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, said both robberies took place last month.
Calhoun said the Sheriff's Department is still investigating the robberies and anyone with any additional information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 917-8888.
