    FRED PRESTON ALEXANDER

    Retired from Meridian Woodworking
    Graveside services for Fred Preston Alexander will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Miller Cemetery on Minnow Bucket Road with the Revs. Steve Dillon and Lawrence Russell Jr. officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Alexander, 92, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was a World War II veteran.
    Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Russell and her husband, Lawrence, of Macon; a son, Gary Alexander and his wife, Christi, of Meridian; three grandsons, Lawrence Russell Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Tennessee, Jody Russell of Kentucky and Greg Alexander of Jackson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Null Alexander; two brothers, Robert Alexander and J.C. Alexander; and his parents, Frank and Lucy Alexander.
    Pallbearers will be Greg Alexander, Larry Russell, Mickey Clark, Ronnie Null and Lester Hopkins.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
    CECIL V. HILL
    Retired railroad employee
    MACON Services for Cecil V. Hill will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Poole officiating. Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery.
    Mr. Hill, 71, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a native of Washington County and a member of the Church of Christ. A graduate of Artesia High School, he served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of the United Transportation Union. He enjoyed hunting with his grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife, Dovie E. Hill of Meridian; two daughters, Lisa H. Moore of Macon and Sherri A. Hill of Meridian; a son, Cecil O. Hill of Macon; six grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Wright of Mobile, Ala., and Evelyn McArthur of Macon; two brothers, Carey Hill of Yazoo City and George L. Hill of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bennie F. Hill, Joe Hill and Randolph Hill.
    The family requests memorials be made to Central Academy of Macon, P.O. Box 231 Macon MS.
    Visitation will be held today from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ROBERT W. CASSREINO
    METAIRIE, La. Services for Robert "Cass" W. Cassreino will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
    Mr. Cassreino, 63, of New Orleans, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center-Baptist Campus.
    Survivors include his wife, Karen Taylor Cassreino; a son, Terry R. Cassreino; two daughters, Robin C. Richard and Jodie C. Amore; a step daughter, Aimee E. Hightower; four grandchildren, Lauren Robin, Carlie Amore, Jamie Amore and Amber Amore; a brother, Jerry E. Cassreino; a niece, Christy C. Hoffman; and a nephew, Tony Cassreino.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Mullen and Clerance Cassreino and a granddaughter Brittny Oustalet.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
    ELMER BELL
    Firefighter
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Elmer Bell will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bogue Chitto Gymnasium with the Rev. Shelly Peoples officiating. Burial will be in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery in Philadelphia.
    Mr. Bell, 44, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
    Survivors include his wife, Michele Bell; a daughter, Lanisha Genora Bell; two sons, Joseph Ryan Bell and Lorenzo Keith Bell, all of Philadelphia; five sisters, Juanita Chapman and Junie Cabera, both of Philadelphia, Willie M. Wilson and Rena M. Edwards, both of Dallas and Brenda Bell of Heidelberg; two brothers, Elon Bell of Walnut Grove and Levon Bell of Philadelphia; and one grandchild.
    WILLIAM ROME CRAWFORD JR.
    Retired civil service
    NEWTON Services for William Rome Crawford Jr. will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
    Mr. Crawford, 78, of Killeen, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, in Killeen. He was a retired civil service range control for 18 years and a retired Sfc. with 20 years of service.
    Visitation will be Monday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
    WAYNE THOMAS BAILEY
    Memorial services for Retired Lt. Col. Wayne Thomas "Bugar" Bailey will be held Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 7 p.m.
    A native of Meridian, Mr. Bailey died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, and was buried in Colorado Springs, Colo. where he lived.
    Visitation will be held following the service in St. Patrick Parish Center.
    INA AILEENE MAGGARD DUKES
    Retired PBX operator
    Services for Ina Aileene Maggard Dukes were held Thursday at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Burial was in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mrs. Dukes, 79, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Riley Hospital. She was a member of Cokers Chapel Methodist Church and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
    Survivors include three daughters, Chrell Johnson of Pasadena, Texas, Toni White of Puckett and Tracey Alday of Meridian; a son, Brad Dukes of Suqualena; sisters, Ruby Edney of Vinville, Freta Knight of Memphis, Tenn., Marie Carlile of Vinville and Snookie Richards of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Ina Mae Maggard; her husband, Henry Alvo Dukes; a daughter, Sarnda Dukes; two grandchildren, Trenton Gerrard Able and David Michael Hoop.
    The family requests memorials be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Cancer Fund or Merrehope. Mrs. Duke's was a descendent of John Gary, owner of Merrehope.
    Pallbearers will be Tray Hammock, Bill Ednay, Dee White, Hubert White, Marty Alday and Josh White.
