OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, NOV. 10, 2001

ONA G. UPTON
Retired school teacher
Services for Ona G. Upton will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David McCubbin officiating. Burial will be in Society Hill Cemetery, near Prentiss.
Miss Upton, 84, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Upton of Oakvale; two nieces, Linda Teeter of Panama City, Fla. and Edith Smith of Carson; two nephews, Cy Upton of Oakvale and Sid Upton of Monticello.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MARY ANNER RUCKER
UNION Services for Mary Anner Rucker will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home with the Revs. Randolph Scott and Junior Price officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Rucker, 93, of Sebastopol, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at Leake Memorial Hospital. She had worked in a sewing factory.
Survivors include a son, Charles Breedlove of Sebastopol; four sisters, Exie Breedlove of Philadelphia, Ruby Comans of Newton, Katy Perkins of Laurel and Francis Scott of Carthage; three brothers, Luther Comans Jr. and Ripley Comans, both of Jackson and Robert Comans of Sebastopol; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mike Madden, Eric Madden, Joe Breedlove, Josh Breedlove, David Breedlove, Scott Breedlove and Sandy Mowdy.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
RUTH T. SPEED
Retired secretary for Kerr McGee Co.
NEWTON Services for Ruth T. Speed were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.B. Costilow officiating. Burial was in Newton County Memorial Gardens with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Speed, 77, of Newton, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Speed of Newton; a son, David Speed and his wife, Ada Rosa, of Dallas; two daughters, Katherine Burt and her husband, Dr. Woodrow Burt, of Hannibal, Mo., and Susan Reynolds and her husband, Dr. Tim Reynolds, of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mark Burt of Augusta, Ga., Matt Speed of Atlanta, Laura Burt of St. Louis, Sara Speed of Denver, Jennifer Burt Bryant of Paducah, Ky., Jamey Reynolds, Logan Reynolds and Holly Reynolds, all of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Georgia Team.
Pallbearers were Marc Speed, Jerry Lee, John Paul Lee, John Penland Speed, Bryan Burt, Doyle Gibbs, Tom Speed and Carter Speed.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Joyce L. Goggins of Meridian who died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Meridian.
