    OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, OCT. 27, 2001

    LUCILLE MAYFIELD
    Homemaker
    Services for Lucille Mayfield will be held today at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy Scarbrough and Jack Thweatt officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mrs. Mayfield, 86, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in her home
    Survivors include her husband, J.C. Mayfield of Meridian; a sister, Trudie Clay of Lauderdale; two brothers, George Abel of Meridian and L.C. Abel and his wife, Catherine, of Philadelphia; a daughter-in-law, Judy Matthews of Baton Rouge, La.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Matthews.

    Services for David A. "Shag" Wiley will be held today at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Chuck Overby and Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mr. Wiley, 35, of Toomsuba, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, in Selma, Ala.
    Survivors include a son, Terry Wiley of Toomsuba; his mother, Rosa Clarke and her husband, William, of Lauderdale; a sister, Emiley Wiley of Newton County; his grandmother, Mary Mazingo of Union; and his in-law, Joyce and Tim Hurst of Toomsuba.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Wiley; and his father, Willard Wiley.
    Pallbearers will be Tim Runnels, Artis Bunyard, Bill Bunyard, Walter Terrell, Bob Twilley, Robert Miller, Jimmy Long, Ryan Shelton, Steve Sanders, Jody Smith, Scott Ward, Mac Twilley, Robby Wright and Jason Gilbert.
    Visitation will be today beginning at noon at the funeral home.
    WICKS LIGA HENRY
    SEBASTOPOLServices for Wicks Liga Henry will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. Burial will be in Community Cemetery in Philadelphia with Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Henry, 72, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001 at Choctaw Health Center.
    Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Davis, and his brother, Frank Henry, both of Philadelphia; three sisters, Corene Willis, and Karen Ben, both of Philadelphia; and Rachel Sisk of Mantika, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Thomasina Henry, and his parents, Jim Henry and Sally Thompson Henry.
    ALTON LOWREY WILLIAMS
    Retired radio dispatcher
    Graveside services for Alton Lowrey Williams will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery of Brookhaven with the Revs. Greg Warnock and the brothers of Brookhaven Masonic Lodge No. 251 officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Williams, 84, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at his home. He was a retired radio dispatcher for the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven and was a master mason for 5 years with Brookhaven Masonic Lodge No. 251.
    Survivors include his daughter, Judy W. Graham, and a grandson, Hardy P. Graham, Jr. both of Meridian; a granddaughter, Lee Graham Morphis of Greensboro, North Carolina; a brother, Gary Williams of Brookhaven; a sister, Carol Jean Ball of Jackson, Ala.; and four great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Irma Williams, and three brothers, J.E., Charles and Kenneth Williams.
    The family request memorials be made to Horizon Hospice of Decatur.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at the church.
    Pallbearers will be the Masons.
    HERMAN RAY GUY
    Services for Herman Ray Guy will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Pine Springs Christian Mission Church with the Rev. Tommy Espey officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Guy, 46, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at his home.
    Survivors include his mother, Dolly M. Guy, his sister, Glenda Diane Guy, and grandmother, Susie Allen, all of Meridian; five aunts, Katherine Moulds, Gladys Reece, Jean Thrash, Mamie Alexander and Helen Davidson; two uncles, Woodrow Allen, and William Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be from 5 -8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Pallbearers will be Raymond Reece, Wayne Guy, Harvel Davidson, Jackie Picard and Robert Moulds.
    DR. ROBERT MARSHALL GRAHAM
    Retired urologist
    Services for Dr. Robert Marshall Graham will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lannis May and Robert Entrekin officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Dr. Graham, 73, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Silverleaf Manor.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 6 -8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIE BIRGE JR.
    Retired
    Services for Willie Birge Jr. will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Burks officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Cemetery in Daleville with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Birge, 55, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Birge of Meridian; three daughters, Janell Crowther and her husband, Daryl, of Newton, Tomeka Hill and her husband, Timothy, and Sherrell Birge, all of Meridian; two sons, Willie Birge of Killeen, Texas, and Bobby Lee Birge of Meridian; his mother, Annie Lee Brown, two sisters, Linda Sue Brown and Annie Lee Lockett, all of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Jimmie Lee Birge and his wife, Emma Jean, of Meridian; and five grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 -6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the church.

    Services for Fannie L. Williams will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel with the Rev. James L. Osby officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Toomsuba. James L. Osby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Williams, 66, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care.
    Survivors include a son, James Moore of Augusta, Ga.
    Visitation will be Saturday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel.
    WILLIAM SCOTT GRESSETT
    A memorial service for William Scott Gressett was held Monday at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. John Rideout Funeral Home (Southside) was in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Gressett, 33, of Birmingham, Ala., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in Birmingham. He was a native of Meridian.
    Survivors include his mother, Brenda Gressett Watson of Jacksonville, Ala.; and a sister, Sonya Gressett Foushee of Odenville, Ala.
    He was preceded in death by his father, William Ray Gressett.
