Thrash, Pounders

Shelley Pounders of Collinsville and Steven Thrash of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at the home of the bride, with the Rev. Terry Goodman officiating.
Parents of the couple are the late Leon Morrison and Janet Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Thrash and Faye Thrash.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Alfred Morrison and the late Minnie Morrison, the late Waple Mines and the late Woodrow Mines.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Preston M. Thrash and the late Nettie Louise Thrash, the late Iva Dean Thrasher and the late Albert Bounds.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Dustin Pounders. She wore a sleeveless tea-length silver gown featuring an open key-hole back that tied with a double row of satin bows. She carried a bouquet of pink and white miniature roses adorned with chiffon ribbon.
Brittany Pounders of Collinsville attended her mother as maid of honor. Groomsman was Dustin Pounders of Collinsville, son of the bride.
A reception was held at the bride's home following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Beverly Thrash, Faye Thrash and Suzanne Smith, all of Meridian.
The couple resides in Collinsville.
