OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, SEPT. 11, 2001

PHILADELPHIA Services for Mary Magdalene McNair will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Rick Lal and Grant Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. McNair, 82, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Frank McNair and a son, Ray McNair, both of Philadelphia; six daughters, Mary Rhodes of Magnolia, Ruth Helen Conn of Carthage, Kay Vance of Meridian, Sarah Peebles of Greenville, Rebecca Stokes and Nancy Nicholson, both of Philadelphia; a brother, Powell G. Ogletree of Hattiesburg; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. McNair.

Services for Gertrude Brown will be held Wednesday at noon at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church with the Rev. Daryl Fluker officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown, 85, of Meridian, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Survivors include a daughter, Annie Abernathy of Hartford, Conn.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
