    OBITUARIES FOR THURSDAY, SEPT. 6, 2001

    PEGGY BONEY MOSLEY
    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Graveside services for Peggy Boney Mosley were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Rose officiating. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Mosley, 54, of Melvin, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, in Meridian. She attended Auburn University and earned a master's degree at Livingston University (the University of West Alabama).
    She served as secretary of the Choctaw County Public Library Board and for the Historical Society of Choctaw County. She was director of Choctaw County Historical Museum. Mrs. Mosley served as secretary and was founding member of the Ballet and Theatre Arts School in Gilbertown.
    Survivors include her mother, Orrice F. Boney of Gilbertown; and a sister, Syble Ray of Bryan, Texas.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Selz Boney; and her husband, Henry Mosley.
    The family requests memorials be made to Choctaw County Public Library, 124 N. Academy Ave., Butler, AL 36904; or the Ballet and Theatre Arts Performing Companies, P.O. Box 235, Gilbertown, AL 36908.
    Pallbearers will be Lindsey Boney III, James Dutch Dabbs, Bill Franklin, J.D. Brown, Jack M. Beard Sr., George K. Nelson, Olan Hollinghead and Michael Crump.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Kimbrough, Leo C. Mueller III, Joe Clyde McPhail, Bill Mosley Sr., Billy Mosley Jr., L.C. Boney Jr. and Ira Carlisle III.

    QUITMAN Graveside services for Susie Napp Morgan were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Stonewall Cemetery with the Revs. Roy Dabbs and Jessie Lee Napp officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Morgan, 99, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Wayne General Hospital.
    Survivors include two brothers, Roy Napp of Haughton, La. and Jessie C. Napp of Meridian; a sister, Jewel Scowden of Delphi, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

    Graveside services for Alice H. "Dolly" Birdsong will be held today at 3 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Followell officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Birdsong, 93, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at Azalea Meadows Personal Care Facility. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
    Survivors include a son, Homer Birdsong of Meridian; two granddaughters, Tammy Smakula and her husband, Ken, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jane Ann Collins and her husband, Ken, of Meridian; two great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, J.E. Pool and Alma Beddingham Pool.
    D.D. WILKINSON
    Retired brick mason
    Services for D.D. Wilkinson will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Raymond Parkin and George Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Wilkinson, 85, of Enterprise, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, in Clarke County.
    Mr. Wilkinson was a charter member of Carmel Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was a master mason and past noble grand of Odd Fellows Lodge. He served as a deputy sheriff from 1960-64.
    Mr. Wilkinson was on the board of directors for Magnolia Cemetery. After retiring as a brick mason, he served as superintendent of Magnolia Cemetery for many years.
    Survivors include two sons, Demar Wilkinson and his wife, Jo Ann, and Doyce Wilkinson and his wife, Glenda, all of Mobile, Ala; three daughters, Faye Hollinsworth and her husband, Richard, Jo Ann Reece and her husband, Ricky, all of Meridian, and Sue Jones of Enterprise; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Hardy Wilkinson; and a daughter, Mary Wilkinson Graham.
    Pallbearers will be Bobby Napp, Tom Slade, Jason Roberson, Wade Wilkinson, Leslie Reese and Danny Balint.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Napp, Jake Pearman, Darin Jones, Josh Napp and Justin Thrash.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    LAVELL SMITH

    SEBASTOPOL Services for Lavell "Red" Smith will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at High Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. LeRoy Yates and Otha Dennis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Smith, 77, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Leake Memorial Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Jean Smith of Dixon; two daughters, Kimberly Smith of Dixon and Brenda Ellis of Philadelphia; a son, Jimmy Smith of Dixon; and two grandchildren.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
    Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    DR. REUBEN L. JOHNSON
    Services for Dr. Reuben L. Johnson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pine Forest Cemetery.
    Dr. Johnson, 95, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, in Madison, Tenn.
    Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIAM CHESTER SCARBROUGH
    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for William Chester Scarbrough, 70, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, in Lillian, Ala.
