TEDDY PAUL PARKER
Conductor for Norfolk-Southern Railroad
NEWTON Services for Teddy Paul Parker will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Parker, 58, of Meridian and formerly of Lawrence, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a conductor for Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 28 years. He was born in Newton County and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Parker of Meridian; two daughters, Kim Jay and her husband, Jeff and Dawn Booker and her husband, Johnny, all of Meridian; his parents, Selby and Erlene Gibbs Parker of Lawrence and four grandchildren, Jordin, Jade, Blaise and Falon.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Parker and a sister, Margaret Selena Parker.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Moore, Van Hagwood, Bobby Hagwood, Sammie Davison, Norman Ishee, Chuck Fairchild, Bubba Parker and Richard Page. Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers from Norfolk-Southern Railroad Company.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Therman L. Thomas will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Bishop, Kent Turner and Kermit Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Ocobla Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas, 80, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired service station operator. He was born and reared in Neshoba County where he made his home in the Ocobla community all of his life. He was a member and deacon of Ocobla Baptist Church and served as chairman of deacons for many years. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mauvene Thomas of Philadelphia; four daughters, Charlotte Bishop and her husband, Jerry, of Lauderdale, Judy Allen and her husband, Charles, Jean Fulton and her husband, Art and Patsy McGee and her husband, Bill, all of Philadelphia; three granddaughters, Cindy Adams and her husband, Chris and Helen McGee, all of Philadelphia and LeaAnn Anderson and her husband, Brian, of Meridian; four grandsons, Greg Bishop of Lauderdale, Davis Fulton, Thomas Allen and Scott McGee, all of Philadelphia and three great-grandchildren, Brady Anderson of Meridian and Anne Taylor Adams and Olivia Adams, both of Philadelphia.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bishop, Davis Fulton, Thomas Allen, Scott McGee, Brian Anderson, Chris Adams, Wayne Thomas, Robert Thomas and Derrel Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
VETA MAE CURRY
Retired dietitian
Services for Veta Mae Curry will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Zachary Operton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Curry, 75, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was a retired dietitian.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lee Edwards and her husband, Ralph; two sons, Germaine Curry and his wife, Wilma and Malcus Curry and his wife, Cynthia, all of Cincinnati; two sisters, Annie Laura Harrison and Charle Raye, both of New Orleans; five grandchildren, Rodney Edwards and his wife, Marie, Ronique Edwards, Christopher Curry, Calise Curry and Colton Curry and two great-grandchildren, Rashon Edwards and Mariah Edwards all of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Curry and her parents.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
