OBITUARIES FOR MONDAY, JULY 30, 2001

REBA AGENT
Homemaker
Services for Reba Agent will be held today at 10:00 a.m. at Webb Chapel, with the Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Mrs. Agent, 89, of Meridian, died Thursday July 26, 2001, at Beverly Health Care. She was a homemaker and a member of State Blvd. Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Trevaline Agent Morgan of Meridian; two sons Terris G. Agent of Gautier and Keith Agent of San Diego, Cal.; seven grandchildren, Mark Agent, Toni Morris, Tori Boling, Ken Pace, Scott Morgan, Marisa Morgan, and Faith Hollingsworth; and eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett L. Agent.
SULA MAE GIPSON HAND

LITTLE ROCKServices for Sula Mae Gipson Hand will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Stephens F.H. Chapel with the Revs. Roger Laird and John Jacob officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hand, 67, of Little Rock, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
She was a retired nurse.
Survivors include two daughters Martha Hand Lopez of Enterprise, Ala., and Suzette Hand Crocker of Little Rock; one son Bill D. Hand of Tallahassee, Fla.; three sisters Margery Hand of Little Rock, Katherine Madden of Walnut Grove, and Gelene Bell of Pearl; three brothers Spivey Gipson of Terry, Randolph Gipson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lenard E. Gipson of Pensacola, Flo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D. L. Hand.
HORACE MELTON

PHILADELPHIAServices for Horace Melton will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church, with the Revs. Steve Craft and Don Savell officiating. Burial will be held at the church cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Melton, 76, of Philadelphia, died on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at his home.
He was employed by Lumber Manufacturer as a machine operator.
Survivors include four sisters, Louise Flint and Ella Ruth of Smiths Station, Ala.; and Hilda Dixon and Shirley Kea of Philadelphia.
GLADYS TURNER PARKER

BUTLER, Ala.Services for Gladys Turner Parker will be held on Tuesday July 31, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike DePhillips and James Bonner officiating. Burial will be held at the Brightwater Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker, 73, of Butler, Ala., died on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Willow Trace Nursing Center.
Survivors include three sons, McKinley Grice and Steve Grice of Needham Ala.; and Donald Grice of Pennington, Ala.; a daughter, Janice Todd of Needham, Ala.; and two sisters, Vinnie Todd of Needham, Ala.; and Faye Smith of Toxey, Ala.; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Grice.

NEWTONServices were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Donie Walker, 98, of Newton, who died today at Newton Regional Hospital.

Services were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Lyda C. Walker, 64, of Meridian, who died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Rush Hospital.
