Thrash, Hand

Alton and Elaine Thrash of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Renee, to Randall Eugene Hand, son of Larry and Gail Hand of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
Miss Thrash is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Preston M. Thrash of Pachuta, the late Mrs. James Swain of Porterville and the late James E. Green of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and received an associate's degree in health information technology from Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of HOSA, Hita and AHima.
Miss Thrash is employed by the Clay County Medical Center.
Mr. Hand is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ehrman Hand and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Carden, all of Jemison, Ala.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, IEEE and the Golden Key Honor Society.
Mr. Hand is employed by the Engineering Research Center at MSU.
A reception will be held at the church's Family Life Center following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
