QUITMAN Services for Earline Boutwell Harper were held Monday at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Leslie Aucoin and Travis McManus officiating. Burial was in Stonewall Cemetery.
Mrs. Harper, 90, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, in her home. She was a member of Lakeview Worship Center of Meridian.
Survivors include two sons, Talmadge Harper of Lauderdale and Ralph "Buddy" Harper of Elbam, Wash.; a sister, Sadie Campbell of Ocean Springs; a granddaughter, Tracy Earline White of Lauderdale; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

UNION Services for Ferrell Coats were held Monday at Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Walter Collins and Paul Caine officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coats, 96, of Union, died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Laird Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Donald Earl Coats and his wife, Faye, of Union; a grandson, Donald Ray Coats and his wife, Lisa, of Linwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Coats.
WILLIAM ROSS

MORTON Services for William "Bill" Ross will be held today at 2 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Ross, 60, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Rankin Medical Center. He was a native of Meridian and had been a resident of Rankin County for the past 30 years. He was a member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church and was retired from the Pelahatchie Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Ross of Pelahatchie; his foster children, Brooks Shumaker and Brian Shumaker, both of Pearl; an uncle, Jake Davis of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Julia Ross; and two brothers, Maurice Ross and Jimmy Ross.
The family requests memorials be made to Pelahatchie Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 355, Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
Visitation will be today from noon-1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Leon E. Chunn will be held today 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Mr. Chunn, 77, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Laurine Chunn of Philadelphia; three daughters, Dewanda Foxhall of Demopolis, Ala., Yvonne Eshee of Pearl and Debbie Chunn of Hazlehurst; a son, Donald Chunn of Philadelphia; two stepdaughters, Jauwina Nichols of Magee and Cynthia Smith of Philadelphia; two sisters, Winnie Earvine Hicks and Gjawan McKinion, both of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
DORIS IKERD

CLARKSDALE Services for Doris Ikerd will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Nowell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ikerd, 81, of Friars Point died Sunday, July 8, 2001, in Meridian. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale.
Survivors include three sons, John Earl Ikerd Jr. of Oklahoma, Don Ikerd of Memphis and Gary Ikerd of Greenville; a daughter, Lisa Ikerd Nicholson; three sisters, Chris Berich of Hot Springs, Ark., Rose Gorney of Ocean Isle, N.C. and Annie Gough of Senatobia; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Ikerd Sr. and a sister, Bobbie Lucas of Columbus.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or Oakhurst Baptist Church.
FANNIE EDNA THOMAS HOPKINS COKER
NEWTON Services for Fannie Edna Thomas Hopkins Coker will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Gilstrap officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Coker, 93, of Baton Rouge, La., a former resident of Newton, died Monday, July 9, 2001, at Landmark Nursing Home in Baton Rouge.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, stepmother, step-grandmother, aunt and a friend. She was affectionately called "Aunt Fannie" by all that knew and loved her in Newton.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1907, the second child of Ethel Jones Thomas and Adolphus Baldwin Thomas in Newton County. Mrs. Coker lived in Texas from 1943 until 1962 when she returned to live in Newton.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Maxine Hopkins Bolger and her husband, Robert G., of Baton Rouge, Rebecca Ruth Hopkins Holland her husband, John O., of Vancouver, Wash., and Katherine Vivian Hopkins of Bayfield, Colo.; a son, Luther Harry Hopkins of Tecopa, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Juanita Estes of the Hero Community and Lucille Gibbon and her husband, Billy, of Newton.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, their spouses and 23 great-grandchildren. They include Philip and Mary Ann Bolger (their children, Toni and Kevin) of Des Moines, Iowa, Deborah Jean Bolger Wilson and Gregg Wilson (their children, Jennifer Carol Jones and Stephanie Wilson) of Humble, Texas, Sandra Kay Bolger Roberts (her children, Katherine Summer Roberts and Justin Lee Roberts) of Bayfield, Colo., Jeffery Kevin Bolger and Laura Saunders Bolger (their son, Ian) of Baton Rouge, Susan Deanne Bolger Funkhauser (her daughters, Samantha and Julie) of Pensacola, Fla., Randall and Rachael Bolger (their children, Kathryn, Luke and Erin) of Oregon, Wis., Robert M. and Janie Bolger (their children, Tom Ragle, Brianna Decker and Lucas Bolger) of Austin, Texas, Robert Ted Eglet (his children, Jordan Alexandra, John Keegan and Blake Cameron) of Las Vegas, Nev., Kirk Jeffery and Deborah Lynn Holland (their children, Sarah Karen and Samantha Lynn Holland) of San Carlos, Calif., Paul Hopkins (his daughter, Skylar) of Jackson, Kevin and Gloria Hopkins (their children, Dexter and Joshua) of Pearl, Melissa Hopkins Bynum and Clay Bynum (their children, Nicholas and Ashley) of Brandon, and Mary Crystal Hopkins of Idaho.
