    OBITUARIES FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 2001

    NEWTON Graveside services for Billie Byron "Mr. Clean" Edmonds were to be held today at 11 a.m. at Newton Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Pennington officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Edmonds, 83, formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Mississippi State Veteran's Nursing Home in Kosciusko. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
    Survivors include two sisters, Eloise Edmonds Godbold of Jackson and Hazel Edmonds Carter of Woodstock, Ga.; a brother, Donald Edmonds of San Anglo, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, John Byron and Elsie Norris Edmonds.
    JOHNNY ISAAC CLARK

    Memorial Services for Johnny Isaac Clark will be held today at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. W.R. Clark officiating.
    Mr. Clark, 48, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include his father, Isaac Clark and stepmother, Bessie Clark of Meridian; a daughter, Sholonda Clark of Illinois; and a his wife, Peggy Clark of Meridian.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Clark Crawford.
    ETHEL FLORENCE TINDLE
    Retired from Burlington
    QUITMAN Services for Ethel Florence Tindle will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery.
    Mrs. Tindle, 91, of Enterprise, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.
    Survivors include two sons, Donald Tindle and his wife, Martha, of Meridian, and Robert Tindle and his wife, Terrye, of Stonewall; two daughters, Edna Helms and her husband, Jimmy, of Enterprise and Nina Roberts and her husband, William, of Stonewall; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Friday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIE C. EDMONSON
    Services for Willie C. Edmonson will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Enterprise with the Rev. Patton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Edmonson, 62, of Enterprise, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his father, Harrison Long of Enterprise; two daughters, Tammie Johnson of Meridian and Suzie Dukes of Rose Hill; a son, Dyron Nix and his wife, Shawn, of Atlanta; three sisters, Lenora Cooley and her husband, Earnest, of New Orleans, Roger M. Presley and her husband, John, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Mary E. Price of Racine, Wis.; and eight grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
    REBECCA SANDUSKY
    Graveside services for Rebecca Sandusky will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Sandusky of Meridian died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home.
    Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
    IVORY LEANN THOMPSON
    Graveside services for Ivory Leann Thompson will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Nick Holder officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Infant Thompson of Meridian died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her parents, David and Crystle Thompson, two sisters, Destiny Page Thompson and Sunrise Nicole Thompson, all of Meridian; paternal grandparents, Clarence Thompson Jr. and his wife, Barbara; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Patricia and George Haskins; and grandfather, Jimmy Acton.
    Visitation will be Friday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JUANITA CONWELL
    Services for Juanita Conwell will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in enterprise with the Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Burial will be in All Day Cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Conwell, 66, of Meridian, died Friday, June 1, 2001, in Meridian.
    Survivors include five sisters, Gracie Clark of Meridian, Dorothy Roberts of Quitman, Nannie Jordan of Newton, Mary Jane Jordan and Mary Ann Jordan, both of Rose Hill; and a brother, Lorenzo Jordan of San Francisco.
    Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    REV. JOHN CRAWFORD

    Services for the Rev. John Crawford will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Zachary Operton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Rev. Crawford, 48, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Peggy Carter Crawford of Meridian and a daughter, Shalonda Carter of Chicago.
    Visitation will be Friday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    CALLIE BUTLER
    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Callie Butler, 96, of Meridian, who died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
    ANNIE JONES
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Annie Jones, 79, who died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at The Speciality Hospital of Meridian.
    OLLIE BUFFINGTON
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Ollie Buffington, 84, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care in Marion.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Willie Edward Whitlock, 63, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
