OBITUARIES FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 22, 2001

HAROLD HILEMAN HEBER
Retired operator of Sonat Gas
ENTERPRISE Services for Harold "Harry" Hileman Heber will be held today at 2 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard Cothern and Taylor Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Heber, 81, of Enterprise, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Riley Memorial Hospital. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Buckalew Heber of Enterprise; a daughter, Susan Chancelor and her husband, Darrell, of Stonewall; a brother, Robert W. Heber and his wife, Jean, of Harrison, Mich.; two sisters, Bernice Smith of LeRoy, Mich. and Eleanor Tracy of Lansing, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Buckalew Rathbun of Enterprise; three grandchildren, Kim Chancelor of Hattiesburg and Jon Chancelor and Blake Chancelor, both of Stonewall; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend and cousin, Bill Hileman and his wife, Marion, of Harrison, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl J. and Mary Heber; a brother, Wallace Heber; and a sister, Mable Squires.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Helms, Martin Long, Cecil Melton, Larry Owen, Charles Helms, Gerald Covington, Buddy Dearman and Mark Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Lawson, Joe Crumbley, Delmar Smith Jr., Peyton Kidd, T.R. Chisolm, Collins Goodin, Dick Clay, Lewis Smith, Charlie Long and co-workers at Southern Natural Gas.
BOBBIE JO AVERA JOLES

Services for Bobbie Jo Avera Joles will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonny O'Quinn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Joles, 31, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, in Lisman, Ala.
Survivors include her husband, David M. Joles, and a daughter, Rivers L. Avera, both of Meridian; a son, Jamie A. Bragg, of Thayer, Mo.; her mother, Polly Ray of Meridian; two sisters, Joann Chaney of Fellowship Community and Polly Griffith of Chunky; and three brothers, Steve Neely of Quitman, Bruce Neely of Meridian and Marty Neely of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Walk, Richard Joles, Winston Joles, Frank Joles, Robert McGrew and Wyatt Hardy.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MYRTLE PINTER
SEBASTOPOL Services for Myrtle Pinter will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Jimmy Strickland and Rickey Wilcher officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pinter, 95, of Union, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
She is survived by eight sons, Clayton Pinter, Wayne Pinter and Wendell Pinter, all of Union, Dorman Pinter of Pearl, Billy Pinter of Philadelphia, Earnest Pinter of Harperville, Tommy Pinter of Kosciusko and Marvin Pinter of Brandon, a daughter, Lorene Hutchinson of Philadelphia; a brother, Cullen Jackson of Baker, La.; two sisters, Jewell Ware of Escatawpa, and Lucille Thomas of Carthage; 37 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel.

Services for Inez Huff will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. W.R. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Huff, 75, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by a devoted friend, Leon Walk of Meridian; a sister, Beverly Buck of Meridian; a cousin, Omera T. Brown Austin of Meridian; a goddaughter, Monique Brown, and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J.E. Huff, and her parents, Sam and Mattie Ruffin.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
RUBY CHICKAWAY
Services for Ruby Chickaway will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father David Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chickaway, 75, of Philadelphia, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney Steve of Shawano, Wis., and Michael Tim of Conehatta; two sisters, Joan Steve and Vina Willis, both of Philadelphia; two brothers, Robert Steve of Union, and Frank Steve of Conehatta; a half sister, Martha Hall of Conehatta, and a half brother, Alford Isom of Philadelphia.
Visitation will be today beginning at 10 a.m. at the family home.
ROOSEVELT HORN
Services for Roosevelt Horn will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Little Hope Baptist Church in Toomsuba with Rev. Lamar Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Little Hope Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Horn, 66, of Toomsuba, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Bettye Horn of Toomsuba; a daughter, Linda Horn Hopkins of Toomsuba; three sons, Joseph Lee Horn of Hinesville, Ga., Major John M. Horn of Scott Depot, W. Va., and Reginald Horn of Meridian; four sisters, Martha Alford of Toomsuba, Dorothy Morgan of Meridian, and Earnestine Ray and Earline Pittman, both of Biloxi; a brother, Woodrow Horn of Toomsuba; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
JAMES GILBERT BRASWELL SR.
James Gilbert Braswell Sr., 71, of Little Rock died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at his home.
A native of Decatur, Ala., he attended public school there and moved to Orlando, Fla., during his youth. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Braswell was engaged in the poultry processing industry for most of his life. He was also a painter in the construction business. He was a member of the American Legion. He had moved from Orlando to the Little Rock community three years ago. Mr. Braswell was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by two sons and their wives, James Gilbert Jr. and Kay Braswell of Bowling Green, Ky., and Michael Scott and Lyn Braswell of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Tommy Braswell of Ocala, Fla., and Felton Braswell and his wife, Martha, of North Carolina; and a sister, Martha Braswell of Florida.
A memorial service will be held later in Ocala, Fla.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Mrs. Esther M. Gibbon, 86, of Hickory, who died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Jaquith Nursing Home in Whitfield.
