Hendrix, Williams
Kristi Michelle Williams became the bride of John Elliott Hendrix during a private ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tenn., with the Rev. William P. Mullins Jr. officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Williams of Collinsville and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hendrix of Memphis.
The bride is the granddaughter of Hazel Hudnell of Collinsville and the late Coleman Hudnell; Martha Williams of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and the late R.F. "Pete" Williams.
The bridegroom is the grandson of E.S. Puckett of Dyersburg, Tenn., and the late Evelyn Puckett and the late Mrs. H.E. Cummings of Memphis and the late Fred Hendrix of Marked Tree, Ark.
Nuptial music was provided by Wes Kirkpatrick, pianist.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin gown featuring a corset-style bodice encrusted with pearl beading and iridescent sequins. Her double-tiered veil flowered from a tiara headpiece of pearls.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and white roses, embellished with white stephanotis. A white lace handkerchief belonging to the bride's great-grandmother was attached at the back for a finishing touch.
Matron of honor was Melissa Lewis of Philadelphia. Flower girl was Madelyn Best of Madison.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Ring bearer was Chase Best of Madison. John Dulmer of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Brice Ford of Meridian served as ushers.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Racket Club in Memphis.
Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, a reception for friends and family was held on Oct. 28, at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Philadelphia.
The couple resides in Philadelphia.
Byers, Anderson
Erin Renee Anderson and Richard Allen Byers, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. David Wood officiating.
Parents of the couple are Steven and Allison Anderson of Meridian and Eddie and Lilly Byers of Falls Church, Va.
Grandparents of the bride are Ralph and Evelyn Walters of Meridian and Dorothy Anderson of San Diego, Calif.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Amy Massengill, harpist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of royal satin. The fitted bodice, accented with beadwork and pearls, featured short sleeves, a scooped neckline and V-shaped back. The bodice fell into a Basque waistline from which flowed a chapel-length train accented with embroidery. Her fingertip-length veil of illusion featured a headpiece of rhinestones and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, gardenias and stephanotis.
Maid of honor was Mandy Robinson of Pearl. Other attendants were Keri Bunn Wright, Katie Anderson and Maggie Day, all of Meridian.
Savannah Day of Meridian and Michele Byers of Fairfax, Va., were flower girls.
Lee Byers of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Clayton Byers of Vienna, Va., Leonard Byers of Gainesville, Va. and Will Day of Meridian. Christopher Banks of Meridian was ring bearer.
Bubble attendants were Hattie Jane Banks and Emmeline Banks, both of Meridian.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the couple at Briarwood Country Club for the wedding party and out of town guests.
A reception was held at the church's Family Life Center following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Cami Alexander Reynolds, Amanda Todd and Owen Todd.
After a honeymoon in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, the couple resides in Meridian.
Butler, Crosby
Danielle Crosby and Ryan Russell Butler, both of Baton Rouge, La., were married Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, with the Rev. Peter Barnes officiating.
Parents of the couple are Danny and Vicki Crosby of Baton Rouge, formerly of Meridian, and Russell and Ginger Butler of Clinton, La.
Grandparents of the bride ware Mr. and Mrs. Howard Snider of Monroe, La., and the late Vera Snider of Meridian; and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Floyd Crosby of Quitman.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Babin of Baton Rouge and Juanita Martin of Ventress, La.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Doug Carroll, organist; and Peter Barnes, soloist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece gown of white matte satin featuring a strapless bodice adorned with beaded Venise lace and a corset lacing back. The A-line skirt continued into a cathedral-length train. Her three-tiered fingertip-length veil fell from a pearl and rhinestone tiara. She carried a bouquet of white roses hand tied with white satin ribbon.
Matron of honor was Abby Crosby of Baton Rouge, sister-in-law of the bride. Other attendants were Clesi Neitz of Monroe, La., aunt of the bride; Keely Butler of Baton Rouge, sister of the bridegroom; Ashley Munnerlyn of New Iberia, La.; Tara White of Baton Rouge; Kayla Kinchen of Kingwood, Texas.
Taylor Crosby, niece of the bride, and Reagan Butler, niece of the bridegroom, both of Baton Rouge, were flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Brad Crosby, brother of the bride, Joel Landry, Neal Lockhart, Primo Nardi, Shelly James and Carey Bennett, all of Baton Rouge, and Ronnie Landry of Port Allen, La.
Kade Crosby, nephew of the bride, was junior groomsman. Logan Landry of Port Allen served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at Stage One following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Florida Keys and Bahamas, the couple will reside in Greenwell Springs, La.
Mott, Roper
Shannon Roper and Vernon Mott, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Merrehope, with the Rev. Glen Lafferty officiating.
Parents of the couple are Susan Burkhalter of Seymour, Tenn., Steve Roper and V.L. and Joe Mott, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late C.W. and Bessie Hurst and the late S.L. and Joyce Roper.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late V.L. "Louis" and Glades Mott and the late Henry Jo and Anne Mae Lewis.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Amy Massengill, harpist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white strapless satin gown featuring a band at the top and bottom of the bodice accented with beads and seed pearls. The full-gathered skirt fell into a small sweeping train. Her elbow-length headpiece was a row of flowers with tiers of illusions.
Maid of honor was Shelley Roper of Meridian. Other attendants were Stephanie Hurst of Seymour and Alisha Gay and Brittany Spears, both of Meridian. Shelby Burkhalter of Meridian served as flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as beat man. Groomsmen and ushers were Shawn Burkhalter, Ken Williams and Buck Jones, all of Meridian. Stephen Newell of Seymour was ring bearer.
Rice bag attendants were Alexis Gay and Taylor Williams. Program attendant was Linda Murphy.
A reception was held at Merrehope following the ceremony. Assisting were Amanda Murphy, Linda Murphy, JoEllyn Temple, Jennifer Temple, Donna Riley and Ruby Satcher.
After a honeymoon in Crossville, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
