OBITUARIES FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2001

BENNIE MORRIS WHITE
Truck driver
QUITMAN Services for Bennie Morris White will be held today at 2 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Wilton Bennett, Taylor Wallace and Michael Soesbe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White, 67, of Quitman, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Yantley, Ala. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Amie White and a son, Barry White, both of Quitman; two daughters, Sue Taylor and her husband, Walter, of Stonewall and Leigh White of Quitman; a sister, Hazel Mason of Whitney, Texas; three grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Melissa Taylor and Jeremy Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Danny Smith, Mac Martin, Kenneth Chancelor, Bruce Martin, Van Chancelor and Oscar Feliciano.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
WALTER FLOYD STALLINGS
Millwright, Masonite
QUITMAN Services for Walter Floyd Stallings will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Coats and C.C. Burns officiating. Burial will be in McGowans Chapel Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stallings, 53, of Vossburg, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Jacinta Stallings and a son, Walter Caleb Stallings, both of Vossburg; two brothers, James Stallings of Vossburg and Albert Stallings of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Marie Stallings and his parents, Walter and Irene Stallings.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
LUCILLE BURMAN

Services for Lucille Burman will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at East Mississippi State Hospital Chapel with Dr. Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Cedarhaven Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Miss Burman, 84, of Meridian, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at East Mississippi State Hospital.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the EMSH.
MILDRED LOUISE CLARK

QUITMAN Services for Mildred Louise Clark will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. C.C. Burns and George Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Vossburg Cemetery in Vossburg.
Mrs. Clark, 77, of Vossburg, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include a brother, Bobby Rowell of Gallion, Ala., and two sisters, Dorothy Elizabeth Wyatt of Fairhope, Ala., and Willodean Brooks of Vossburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
NITA JOHNSTON STEVERSON
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Nita Johnston Steverson will be held today at 3 p.m. at Frankville Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Gibson, Jimmy Butts and Leon Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Phillips Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Steverson, 89, of Frankville, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at Taylors Assisted Living in Millry.
Survivors include a sister, Elsie Walston of Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Steverson.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for James Thomas Rollins, 82, of Meridian, who died Friday, March 16, 2001, at the VA Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Mable Finch Schafer, 101, of Eckert, Colo., who died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in Eckert.
