Beverly Healthcare Broadmoor will receive the Quality Commitment Award at the Mississippi Quality Awards Ceremony to be held April 6 at the Clarion Hotel in Jackson.
Beverly Healthcare Broadmoor will be receiving the award based on achievements in applying the principles of continuous improvement and world class practices to enhance customer satisfaction. The facility is one of 13 organizations throughout the state to be honored.
Epsilon Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi presented a $300 check for Hope For Children. Bruce Martin, chairman of the Hope For Children board, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. Epsilon ETA Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi donated $100 to a needy child this Christmas and also gave hams to the Care Lodge.
A "Super Bowl Basket," containing gift certificates, snacks and other items, is being raffled off in Epsilon Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi's new fund raiser. Donations of $1.00 will be taken Saturday at the Salad Factory in Meridian. The basket will be raffled off Friday, Jan. 19 on WTOK-TV's Alive at Five show.
The Mississippi Division of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold its 12th annual MS walk on March 31. The walk will raise funds for research and programs for people with MS.

The Arbor Day Foundation is staging a vote for America's national tree. Citizens may vote for America's national tree symbol at www.arborday.org or mail their vote to the National Arbor Day Foundation, Nebraska City, NE 68410 on a 3×5 card with the tree of your choice.
The voting will take place through April 27.
