Main Street Meridian announces free movies for the kids at the Temple Theatre on Dec. 22-23. The shows will begin at noon both days.

Michael's River Walk Garden open to public
Stroll through swaying Spanish moss along the Chickasawhay River, view a depiction of the Christ child, angels, butterflies, shamu, deer and hundreds of lights in Michael's River Walk Garden.
The Garden is open Dec. 15-24 (closed Dec. 22), from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Drive or walk through. It is located on the Enterprise and Stonewall Clarke County River Road 320.

Christmas at the Old Capitol
Held Dec. 5-22 in Jackson, this even has become a tradition enjoyed by thousands each holiday season. It is held in the 155-year-old historic Greek Revival structure that once served as the state capital building. Beautiful decorations include a Mississippi cedar tree adorned with 1800s-style reproduction ornaments and toys from the museum's collection. Free. Contact (601) 359-6920 for information.
