    OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, DEC. 5, 2000

    VERNA CHRISTINE WILLIAMS CLARK
    Homemaker
    NEWTON Services for Verna Christine Williams Clark will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.B. Costilow officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
    Mrs. Clark, 97, of Newton, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Newton Regional Hospital.
    Survivors include a son, Charles Williams and his wife, Debbie, of Florence; and a grandchild, Tori Williams.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Leonard Clark.
    Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    WILLIAM RAYBURN JOHNSON
    Mechanic
    UNION Services for William Rayburn Johnson will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Clinton Thornton and Lin Chesney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Johnson, 77, of Little Rock, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Leake Memorial Hospital. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He owned Hill Johnson Auto Service in Meridian for 25 years before retiring and was a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorthy Johnson of Little Rock; three sons, William R. Johnson Jr. and Walter B. Johnson, both of Little Rock, and Thomas Gary Johnson of Caloosa, Calif.; three sisters, Josie May Jones and Annie Scott, both of Meridian, and Bernice Ashley of Jackson; three brothers, Clark Johnson of Oakland, Doris Johnson of Brandon and Elmer Johnson of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Employed with Waste Management
    Services for Donald J. Cameron Sr. will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home, with the Rev. O.L. Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Cameron, 48, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in Meridian.
    Survivors include his wife, Mildred Cameron, two daughters, Ebony Croft and Kimberly Stampelton; four sons, Donald Cameron Jr., Bernard Cameron, Cedric Croft and Thomas Cameron, his mother, Audrey Johnson, all of Meridian; his father, T.B. Cameron, and two sisters, Kazandra Candley and Adrienne Cameron, all of Chicago; two brothers, Willie Curtis of Meridian, and Fredrick Johnson of Hamilton, Ill.
    Visitation will be today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Eva Ivy will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel, with the Revs. Billie Tolbird and Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ivy, 81, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
    Survivors include a daughter, Judy Elwood of Philadelphia; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Colen Ivy.
    Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Retired from Neshoba County Nursing Home
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Jeff Steele Jr. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services, with the Rev. Steve Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
    Mr. Steele, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Alma Ruth Steele of Philadelphia; nine daughters, Carolyn Cole, Juanita Moore, Ruthie Moore, Sandra Williams and Sara Coleman, all of Philadelphia, Roxie Steele of Bronx, N.Y., Lisa Triplett, Stacy Steele and Kimberly Faulkner, all of Atlanta; four sons, Curtis Steele of Memphis, Henry Steele of Philadelphia, Norman Steele of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jerry Steele of Atlanta; two sisters, Verna Lee Seales and Maggie Mae Clemons, and a brother, William Howard Steele, all of Philadelphia; 34 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    CARVIL ROEBUCK

    PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Carvil Roebuck will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Spring Creek Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Roebuck, 75, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in his home.
    Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Roebuck of Meridian and Charlotte Roebuck of Mobile, Ala.; four sons, Wayne Roebuck of Philadelphia, Benjamin Roebuck, Cecil Roebuck and Robert Roebuck; and a sister, Marlene Robertson of Philadelphia.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Oneal Roebuck and a sister, Parlee Joyner.
    SOLOMON MARSHALL
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Solomon Marshall, 51, of Quitman, who died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Riley Hospital.
    EDGAR CHESTER
    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Edgar Chester, 69, of Meridian, who died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
