Spruce Pine man killed in motorcycle crash

RUSSELLVILLE — A Spruce Pine man died from injuries he sustained from a motorcycle crash Friday night after striking a dog in the roadway.

Gregory A. Pugh, 75, was critically injured when the 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck a dog around 10:33 p.m. on Franklin County Road 22 about 10 miles south of Russellville, according to troopers with the Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Pugh was transported to Russellville Medical Center where he later died, according to ALEA.

Troopers with the Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash.
