Freeze warnings issued for parts of north Alabama
HUNTSVILLE — The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Alabama.
The first warning is in effect from 8 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 17 degrees.
A second warning runs from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday, with lows near 28 degrees.
Officials warn that frost and freeze conditions could harm crops, sensitive plants, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Residents are advised to take precautions to protect vegetation and exposed pipes.
